What is Influitive?

Influitive allows companies to build a community and invite customers to complete challenges, referrals, product reviews, social media posts, and more. As community members complete these personalized challenges—which can be targeted to groups or individuals—they automatically earn points, badges, and levels to redeem professional perks and privileges. Influitive aims to enable businesses to easily visualize and report on all activities completed and the ROI of those activities, while integrating with the user's CRM and marketing automation platform to guide members through the entire customer journey.

The Influitive family also includes Upshot, which is designed to allow users to produce ungated customer stories easily.

We use Influitive as the platform to power our customer advocacy program. It sits in our Center of Excellence, which spans all lines of business and global locations. The platform allows us to engage with, nurture, and mobilize our customers at scale. With Influitive, we are able to drive our customers to advocate on behalf of the company through case studies, testimonials, speaking engagements, referrals, and references while giving back to the customers through rewards, personal and professional advancements, and networking.

  • The development team is always open to feedback and coming up with the features that we've requested.

My CSM, Meaghan Shepherd is just amazing. I have a bi-weekly call with her and she will literally help me solve every single problem I have, on the call or follow up religiously. These are not product problems but rather advocacy challenges.
There's always room for improvement and they are constantly seeking our feedback for this purpose.

Influitive AdvocateHub is being used at my organization by only me. I use it to manage the Blackbaud Champions application. The application is used as a reference to articles, interaction with other users and discussion boards. AdvocateHub's application can be used on the go, which is quite convenient. I recommend other Blackbaud users to download the app and try it themselves.

  • Authentication login (like with a pin) rather than username and password. It could be saved on a password keychain.
Influitive AdvocateHub is well suited for challenges, quick activity, and brief responses. It is easily accessible while on the go and is useful for quick read articles. Interaction with other users make Influitive AdvocateHub a good application. I recommend other organizations, outside of Blackbaud, to use Influitive AdvocateHub for their communication activities with a group or membership.

Influitive is the best solution, followed by HubSpot. Of course Influitive interacts with HubSpot making it the most versatile program to utilize. Other features that are beneficial are the advocacy and community components. And the opportunity to manage events is fantastic. I have used all of these features and they are easy and prove to be productive.

Easy to use and manageable. It also provides tools to track analytics, which we really like. Creating challenges and listing rewards are easy and provides a engaged interface.
Influitive AdvocateHub interacts with Blackbaud Champions and is an on-time response system. What I mean by that is once data is entered in Influitive AdvocateHub, it is updated in real time and I can access a computer and the data is there immediately. Sometimes the rewards do not show up right away and I am under the assumption that the delay is caused by an influx of traffic.
All communications in Influitive AdvocateHub are recorded properly, so I would have to say easily integrated. I am not on the receiver side. This would be a question for Blackbaud.

Influitive is being used solely by me, but I occasionally post content to satisfy requests from other members of the marketing team. For example, the event manager on our team may need feedback from attendees about their experience and the types of content/events they prefer. Posting a survey to Influitive is far more successful than sending it out via email because your clients and encouraged by receiving points for their input. The instant gratification (even if it's just a few reward points) is more enticing than a "chance" to win a gift card or any of the other tactics marketers often use. The feedback is also more useful because the clients who are members of your loyalty program on Influitive have the most experience using your products or services. This has helped us improve client engagement tremendously.
  • I love how Influitive has everything set up to create incentives for your clients to engage with the company. Most companies have to build their own rewards programs - this is already built for you so all you have to do is post.
  • I like how easy it is to use Influitive. Of course, there are things that you'll have to learn about the platform in order to use it, but it feels very similar to social media which helps you to pick up the platform and its features very quickly.
  • It's very helpful that you have a coach when you purchase Influitive. There's always a new feature on Influitive and your coach is there to teach you or answer questions about all of them.
  • The integrations available for Influitive enable a lot of the process to be automated. One of the integrations I use the most is Tango Card, which automatically sends an electronic gift card to clients when they redeem any gift card.
  • The system doesn't limit what types of rewards you can offer. We've been able to post our company "swag" as a reward so, our logo is seen on our clients' mugs, polo shirts, pens, and more.
  • The onboarding process is a little difficult if you are not the first person to use Influitive at your organization. I don't think you're given as much attention as the person who initially started using the platform when it was first purchased, which forces you to teach yourself.
  • The platform allows users to earn badges, but I don't understand what is required to receive these badges. I wish there was a way to customize the requirements for each badge.
Influitive is great for getting clients engaged and not just online. I also use Influitive to engage clients at conferences and events. The call-to-action for each activity can literally be anything from following your company's social media accounts to uploading a photo or video. A large part of the platform is also dedicated to generating leads, which helps us meet sales goals. However, even though you can do a lot to get referrals (new clients) to the company, I find it difficult to create referrals for current clients to join this platform. It's a very manual process.
  • The variety of CTA options is extremely valuable for us because we've been able to increase our social media following just by making posts that give clients a few points in exchange for following us on Twitter.
  • The Tango Card integration is a big plus for us. It helps us to manage this platform even during hectic weeks since it automates some of the reward redemption
  • We love having the option to post surveys, which is what a lot of my colleagues leverage Influitive for. Its helped us to build better business proposals that include testimonials, and provide case studies for our website based on client feedback that we've received so easily through influitive.
  • Influitive helps us to reach our sales goals by providing a space for us to upsell to our current clients, and enable those clients to be rewarded for referring new clients.
  • We have also had success in increasing overall client engagement. Influitive has improved our social media following, increased responsiveness to surveys, and more.

At HPE we are using Influitive as the platform that we build our customer advocacy communities on. We have several communities that span multiple business units across the company, and more to come in the future. Influitive also provides a centralized location for us to build out advocate profiles allowing us to better customize per advocate. Without Influitive we would likely have several tools and not be set up for success as we are now.

Influitive is well suited if you want a true advocacy program. You have a strong vision & strategy, you have defined your key pillars and you have complete internal buy-in for complete support and follow through.

Scenario where you should maybe wait is if you are missing the above. It is okay to pause this initiative, regroup and then move forward. You will be more successful!

I felt Influitive offered a more complete package, with a strong roadmap. This was the top option for a one stop shop, that would allow me to truly build a solid foundation for a thriving program. I truly believe that community managers need to have empathy, be organized, be human and have the ability to not only have fun but also let their personality shine.

It is critical for communities to be relatable and not robotic. You want to create a nurturing place where customers can grow while you hep them succeed!

Key factors in our decision were features, usability, reputation and then price. We wanted a platform that had a strong roadmap so we could grow and scale the program withinnovation. We needed it to be usable, and integrate with other applications. We wanted a company with a strong reputation in the space, as it is never easy to change this type of application on the fly. Lastly, price came into play...but we truly wanted to best offering as it is customer facing.
To be honest, I would not change my process. These days there are more options to pick from but I think the key fundamental pillars have not changed for me. The key factor forme now would be does just one platform hit the entire bill or are their little pieces of other offerings I would also like to see on Influitive.

Change management was minimal
Change management was a small factor, and one that I would say did not impact how quick we were up and running. When there are strong leads, the process is simply smoother. When people have a passion for the space the process is just smoother. So I would say if determined...you will be A okay!
  • Making sure all deliverables were secured in time.
I think some of the key insights I can put forward are all aligned to simply being organized. Make sure you have a well thoughts out plan where you have taken all factors into account. Prioritize the list of deliverables, and make sure you have all the right people alighed to assist internally & externally. If you have a well organized plan you will be set up for success.
I must say I think the support team at Influitive is top notch. The support team is knowledgeable, nurturing, helpful and patient.

The response times are always good, and they provide updates as cases move along. I have always found this extemely helpful! One additional perk is they follow-up with the root cause and what the solution was!
I have to be honest here, that I do not remember what level of support we have aligned to our contract. I can simply say that I have never not even once had an issue. I have always felt that my cases where dealt with in a timely manner with great skill. I do not always look forward to collaborating with support teams...but that is not the case with the Influitive support team!

Anytime I have had to report a bug, the team responded very quickly and asked all revelant questions to make sure together we could action asap. They then went to work, kept me up to date, followed through with the outcome and made sure things on our end were working properly.
Recently we had an issue with a certificate on our end expiring. Influitive responded asap, worked with us on the fly to get things updates to minimize our downtime and did it all with a smile never making us feel the stress we could have if it was not taken seriously on their end! I have always found that the team goes above and beyong this is just an example of the most recent win with them!
I find Influitive to be extremely usable. I have been able to create a strong offering, that I can scale with growth. I am able to build detailed profiles on our advocates, which allows me to push better content and the right asks at the right time. I am able to foster relationships across the globe, which encourages stronger adoption while truly giving the sense of community.
