We're likely to renew for several reasons:

  • Now that it's been implemented, I can't imagine not having marketing automation and the easy interface that Marketo provides to run our campaigns
  • Marketo's community and customer service is fantastic; I know that when I need help, I'll get it
  • Marketo continues to improve the product, so I know that I can expect it to be even more useful in the future

Overall, it is much better than the other systems I have used - Eloqua, Hubspot. The sales insight module is really good, super solid, very helpful for the sales team. With respect to the revenue cycle modeler module – we don't use it as all calculations are based on standard amount field in Salesforce.com. Our company doesn’t use the amount field in same way and the revenue cycle modeler doesn’t allow you to pick fields. It can use qualitative data from custom fields, but not quantitative. Also, it looks clunky. Where they are going is advanced, but the execution needs some work. Even the trainers were not familiar with different facets of application.

Simply put, I would not be able to do my job as effectively or as efficiently as I do now without Marketo. I have not had the chance to use any software similar to Marketo and don't have any desire to use anything else. I've spoken to other marketing professionals from companies varying in size and industry that have used other programs and they've all felt Marketo was the best fit for them. I think that speaks volumes about the serviceability of this software.

Marketo has continually released new features and functionality that make it the best in class solution for marketers. Additionally their customer community portal is rich with knowledge base articles, how to webinars, discussions, and ideas to give marketers tips and pointers on how to do their job better. Marketo strives to empower their community of users through online and offline events.

Marketo is certainly powerful and valuable, which is a big reason why we'll most likely renew; however, I also need to mention that the switching costs associated with changing marketing automation solutions at this point do factor into this decision process.

It is 100% likely that we will renew. The tool is an excellent fit. We're investing in its development, and we're not likely to want to start over again. Additionally, we're finding that many other of our peer companies are continuing to adopt more sophisticated MAP tools like Marketo. We want to make sure we're partnered with the best tool for the future.

There is no better alternative. Marketing automation is challenging, there is no perfect tool but if you are looking for a serious contender that will give you 90% of what you need, Marketo is the way to go. Plus there is a great community that is very supportive. The support team for EMEA is pretty sucky...that is my biggest complaint.

I have always been impressed with Marketo's team - from the Customer Advocacy group to the Product team. They are always looking to expand the product and find new ways to offer top solutions for their customers. Marketo is comprised of smart marketers who understand digital marketing and the need to integrate multiple tools to serve up end-to-end data integration. As with any product, there are always areas for improvement. And Marketo gets this. Each month they roll out new features and improvements....spanning from huge transformations to impactful tweaks for improved efficiency. I am a huge fan of Marketo and the platform they are building. It's changed so much (for the better!!) in the past four years I've used it. And I get excited every time the monthly release email arrives in my inbox because I'm always curious to see how the development team is taking the platform to the next level.
