What is Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo Engage, from Adobe since 2018, aims to help marketing teams drive demand and growth in their companies by delivering exceptional experiences in concert with sales at every stage of the customer journey.

The challenge these teams face is that everyone today expects a personalized experience whenever they interact with a company - they don’t have patience for generic marketing and the last thing they want is a cold call from sales. So to stay competitive, marketing teams are scrambling to understand customers better, so they can give them a better experience, because this is disrupting entire industries. And a big part of what’s needed is figuring out how marketing and sales can do a better job together.

Adobe Marketo Engage aims to redefine Marketing Automation by helping these companies bring together the customer data, content, automation and analytics needed for marketing and sales to coordinate engagement with customers that’s personalized and measurable at every touchpoint - and do it with efficiency and scale.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

The team is usually very quick to respond. I have only had 1 case in which it took over a month because their tech team had to dig into why a token wasn't populating. Seems like the first time they had experienced this issue. Submitting a support ticket is very quick, easy, and painless. I also love that they prompt you to read help documents and you are typing in you ticket subject line. If those don't help they at least allow me to better explain my issue.

As I mentioned in the previous question, Marketo does a fantastic job supporting all of the companies that partner with them regardless of their paid status. Depending on the issue, your problem will be solved in a matter of hours if not in a business day. I have only had a few cases stay open longer and that was due partly on our part of needing to research more information to give to the support team. I did not rate the support a 10 but that is just my standards. I believe that although companies are great to work with we should all strive to be better and provide better service. Marketo does that over and over again.

Most of the times very responsive. But some complex situations the first line of support was a bit short. But that was 2 years back. Now I find Marketo support is better trained.

There is a lot to be desired with Marketo support. Some of the interactions that I've had with their team have been phenomenal; quick responses that addressed my problem and allowed me to quickly continue working. Other interactions that we've had took months to resolve, and began with them pointing the finger at us as the problem, instead of looking at their internal systems first. They also don't always communicate well with their engineering/development teams so support assumes that everything is working properly on their end, when an update might have just been released for something and they have no idea that they've broken a lot of things on the back-end.

If you can get the right person's attention, you are likely in a much better position to have problems solved quickly, but it's hard to get to that point.

They are extremely helpful and respond quickly and are easy to reach. Out of most of the tools I use Marketo has the best support. They know their product, if they don't they look into it. They take the time to understand the problem, ask additional questions when unclear.

We had an issue with sender reputation, SPF and the like. These are all kryptonite topics to us because we don't actively discuss these topics on a daily basis around here. We researched on our own and decided to throw it over the wall to Marketo to see if they could help. Their support team answered the call, jumped into our system, pointed out a couple small config options, researched our domain for us, and gave us piece of mind that we were properly configured. We weren't sure what we would get from them because this was our first time since our launchpack that we have reached out to Marketo. We were thankful they still support us in the same manner as our original on boarding.

Marketo support is on the ball. The team is very personable and I always have someone on the line waiting for me. Post call you receive a write up of what your call was about and if the case is closed or still open. You can easy close any case within the Marketo community.

I don't often have problems that need support assistance, which says a lot in itself. I can usually figure out how to do something, even if it takes awhile. Any time I have to contact support, I have to option to rate how urgent my request is and they respond on a comparable timeline. I can also change the urgency after submitting my request. The only downfall, a slight one, is that I often have to go back and forth several times (with a bit of a wait in between) in order to clarify my problem. Then it can be addressed.

I would rate it a 9 with premium support, but a 7 without. They do have a very good user community online. Overall, I prefer their service model over Eloqua’s. With Marketo, we have a sales rep and a support tech. With Eloqua, we had an account manager or client success manager. This role did not have tech expertise and also seemed overloaded. They were more interested in renewing our contract than truly partnering. I had cases open 1.5 yrs at Eloqua which even after I escalated to the VP products had no solution.
