We use UKG Pro within our company to do our payroll, compensation, performances and talent recruiting. Previously we were using ICIMS as our ATS, but moving to UKG Pro allowed us to add the recruiting and onboarding which helped us to centralize our data within one software.

The payroll is very much easy to use and allows us to be have 100 percent accurate for processing our payroll which is a testament of the module. One thing that I would love to see more of is the built in analytic dashboards for BI, currently, it is done mostly manual.

I am the systems administrator for the entire platform. This includes Pro Core, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management and Time and Attendance. The product provides a centralized database for employees skills, qualifications and overall personnel record. We now use UKG Pro for our recruitment, onboarding and e verify and the performance management throughout the employees service. We also went from a paper driven pay system to all direct deposit. This significantly reduced the labor and paperwork to distribute paychecks. For those without Direct deposit we use pay cards that are partnered with UKG. Our performance evaluations were on paper and focused on job functions. Now it's an electronic process with competencies being measured.

For an enterprise size organization I believe it offers robust reporting through Cognos, enables Giving for non profits that prioritize those values, and effectively reduces a paper personnel record to a user friendly electronic one. Excellent Mobile application that allows for workflow complettion. The recruiting does not integrate as well as other modules and has challenges that have not been addressed.

Currently use OKG Pro for HR/Payroll. Also use Kronos WFC for timekeeping and are in the final phases of implementing UKG Dimensions. I am a system admin in all these systems. UKG is used for all Payroll processes including time and attendance, accruals, pay, and all HR aspects.

I think the 2 sides, Kronos and Pro, are the top knotch on each side. Kronos does what it does, the best Time system, and I also feel the UlitPro side is the best HR/Payroll system. However, they are not combined together yet. The process I am sure is a difficult one, but it is creating headaches for customers that do use both sides. Integrations are not complete, and employees the Business Structure to Org Levels is not a match yet. Plus the updating of any job/org level/locations is not integrated yet. Position Management will be a great addition and we are signed up to be on the controlled role out. Looking forward to see how it all talks togeher once rolled out.

We currently use UKG Pro as our system of record for HR and Payroll processing. We use it for reporting purposes to provide data and metrics to upper leadership and our investment firm, American Securities.

  • If a scheduled BI report fails to run due to an error, I wish UKG Pro had the functionality to send a notification to the user who scheduled the report. Currently, the only way to know if a scheduled report failed is if the intended recipient notifies you that they didn't receive it.
  • I wish they would roll out functionality where you can mass update additional business rules. Currently, you can only mass add/update Jobs, Projects, Org Levels, and Locations. It would be beneficial if we had the ability to mass add/update salary grades, job families, job groups, and all the other business rules available. I know as a previous UKG EE, this functionality is available internally so I am not sure why it has not been rolled out for customers.
I have been a customer in the past, an EE of UKG and now I am a customer again. UKG Pro is great as a product if you take the time to learn the system and it's capabilities. However, there are times where even with my knowledge, I don't know all the answers and will reach out to support for help. It seems since the merger of Ultimate Software and Kronos, the support has declined. There has been instances where cases I have created were not "touched" for over a month. Also, there have been process changes UKG has implemented that were not communicated to customers and then we find out after the fact.

Implementing UKG formerly Ultimate was the first full HCMS for the organization, this was a large undertaking as we were implementing the first HR Department at the same time. With the implementation we have moved almost all processes into one system. This includes payroll, timekeeping, benefits, onboarding, recruiting, performance management, and salary planning. We have two business units that we serve with the system, retail and administrative including program services. Before this system most processes were paper based, our organization spans the entire state of Kentucky making the making paper processing the really inefficient. With this system all employees have information readily available for them to access. UKG is our system of record and our single source for data. The data tracked in UKG is available for use in other systems across the organization while reducing time and effort in rekeying data. The system is also used for performance management, with the number of employees and the amount of turnover we have the system has allowed us to streamline the process maintain a focal date review that allows us to track and review data for all employees. Again this was previously a paper process.
The system has made most processes more efficient but not all as we have not fully rolled out all functions to employees and mangers.

It is used as our person of record system, recruiting, onboarding, talent management, compensation management, and other areas. It organizes all of our people's data to report on and store electronically. It allows us to perform our performance review assessments electronically. It is used to track applicants through the recruiting process, make hiring decisions, and have that information flow along the process. Onboarding helps us manage the employee documents pre-hire so they are ready when they are hired.

The Core product has a lot of flexibility for configuration to business needs. The Recruiting and Onboarding modules do not have as much flexibility for configuration.

We use it as a means to track employee information, conduct data feed imports, and running reports, and conducting our payroll operations. It is a system that our business utilizes on a daily basis. We have also configured the system to be more user friendly towards our employees to access their user information and promote productivity by editing their own information.

Since 2019, our company started using UKG Pro, and it is an awesome software that helps with human resources in our company. Personally, I use it for payroll, Onboarding, and Recruiting (I give support to all the branches in USA, Hawaii, and Canada). The reports are pretty accurate and easy to pull.

We utilize UKG as a fully integrated payroll/HRIS/ATS/Learning system. It has made our HR World so much more efficient, and it has made our employees owners of their own information. We are a nationwide company with over 1,000 employees, and we were a paper drive; now, we are fully paperless. Our General Managers are savvier as well as UKG has been able for them to access payroll and benefits information to evaluate the true cost and profit of their business. I would recommend to any organization. Thank you, UKG!!!!

SMBSC used UKG Pro for Core HR processes, payroll, recruiting and onboarding, succession and performance management, HR-related file management, and employee surveys. UKG Pro was instrumental in modernizing our HR-related systems, reducing manual processes, and streamlining other processes. Payroll processing time was reduced significantly and we realized significant ROI after we implemented UKG Pro.

Core HR, Payroll, and Benefits capabilities are well-suited for virtually any company from small, independent businesses to large, global firms. There is a high degree of configuration available from within the solution that can be adjusted and maintained by the customer without the need for customizations from UKG. However, if absolutely necessary, UKG will provide customization services. SMBSC has two customizations on the Time & Attendance side of things.

  • Recruiting - easy for HR Generalists to recruit for open positions
  • Onboarding - easy for newly hired candidates to get all their paperwork completed before starting their new job
  • Benefit Administration - limited functionality around benefit plans, types
I believe with companies that don't have a lot of complicated benefit plans with specific rules the Benefit Administration in UKG Pro is sufficient. This product is well suited also for companies withihn the US and even companies not in a lot of states.

We use the whole suite of UKG products including timekeeping, core system, benefits administration, learning management system, onboarding & recruiting, and other smaller modules. It is very helpful to have everything in one system so it's all connected. The implementation has been fairly smooth. The support during the implementation process was pretty good but varied slightly depending on which module of the system you were using.

Our company utilizes many of the products within the UKG suite including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, and Employee Relations. UKG Pro enables our company to manage various processes all in one place with the convenience of their SaaS-based products.

The support, knowledge-base, and training available to customers are unlike any I have seen with other vendors. [UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)] is used across our whole organization, in the US, Canada, and now Mexico. We are also considering implementing in the UK and Brazil as well. We are a manufacturer, so 75% of our employees are hourly. We use UTA to track time and core payroll to pay everyone. We actively use Recruiting, Onboarding, Business Intelligence, employee self-service, etc. on a daily basis. It is the software of record for all of our employees.
  • Core works great and keeps every record, file, piece of data on all of our employees in one place.
  • Payroll works well and we have not had any problems in almost 7 years on the software.
  • BI is very helpful for reporting, and is an indispensable tool for our executive team.
  • We use our Document Acknowledgment module for lots of things to make sure that employees have read and understood policies, procedures, and agreements.
  • As stated before, 75% of our employees are hourly so we use UTA to track their time and send that time to payroll. UTA has been the number one source of problems for us over the last 6+ years. We have configured it greatly to match our work processes but this has caused difficulties for us through the years. It is difficult for our supervisors and managers to use.
  • The other thing that compounds the issues with UTA is that trying to use BI with UTA is much harder than using BI for core. Data is hidden and field names are not known, so pulling reports out of UTA is very difficult.
  • The other problem with UTA/BI is that you can't combine data from core and UTA into one report, which causes you to jump trough hoops to get this data to our executives.
  • We are now solving these issues by changing from UTA to UKG Dimensions. This will solve most of the problems that we have had through the years on the Time & Attendance side of the software.
The core/payroll/HR piece I think would work for anyone. We are in manufacturing (BTW you don't have an industry drop down for straight manufacturing), but I think these products and the other modules would work for just about any type of industry.

We used UKG Pro for multiple aspects of our business. Our contract consisted of payroll, benefits administration, ACA tracking, time and attendance, reporting (including custom), and HRIS. Our goal with this product was to have an all-in-one solution that allowed for the easy transfer of information. From the time an employee became active until after they left the organization. We wanted all information to flow into various aspects of the system to make our processes more efficient and timely. During my tenure, we expanded our relationship with the product to include a transition from paper personnel files to electronic personnel files. As I was leaving that organization, we also partnered with UKG Pro to upgrade our time and attendance program within their platform offerings. This was key for us as we used various reporting in the time and attendance module to drive our staffing forecasts.
  • The flow of information works when it's implemented properly.
  • The payroll admin side was easy to use from start to finish.
  • The HRIS and the Employee Documents partnership provided a seamless space for storing documents by employees.
  • The benefits admin package was clunky and hard to pull reports from causing our benefits team to have more manual work than should have been necessary.
  • The time and attendance package we had originally was difficult when it came to reporting because of the security access levels associated with it during set-up.
Like any good technology, the implementation team and set-up from the beginning are imperative to get right the first time. It would have been helpful for them to provide a roadmap of the implementation of some of our new offerings so that we truly understood all of the downstream implications of the decisions we were making at the time of implementation. There are a lot of solutions that UKG Pro can help a business with as it scales which is great. However, understanding the big picture of the different offerings before deciding which to prioritize would be helpful. We also found that the solution kept getting more expensive over time with greater increases than we expected, and the service level diminished the longer our contract went on.

We use UKG Pro as our Human Capital Management solution. We only use the Care HR modules and have a stack of peripheral systems we use for certain functional areas such as Benefits, Performance, Compensation, Time Tracking.

  • Delivered functionality that should allow to easily enforce compliance principles.
  • Integration of data/access across all solutions and modules.
Well suited for small, Canada and US-based organizations, especially in retail. Not suitable for organizations with an International populations outside of the US and Canada or SOX compliant organizations.

UKG has been a wonderful all-in-one tool. We use it for timekeeping, goal setting, self-assessments, and reviews. My hourly team uses the app to clock in and out the clock for the day. As their admin, fixing any errors is super easy. Whether on the app or on a browser. I used the goal setting and self-assessment tools for the first time this last year and it was awesome to have the two connected when doing my own self-assessment. That way I could see what I had specified as goals and rate how well I did in achieving them.
  • Connecting tools to enhance the use of each. ie goal setting and self-assessments.
  • Time keeping is super easy for employees and managers.
  • It's super easy to navigate all the many tools UKG has.
  • It would be nice to construct your own personal drop down menu for the tools that an individual uses most.
We have a company directory tool in our UKG. It is probably one of the most under-utilized tools we have. This tool is on the customizable company home screen. It really is a one-stop location for employees to find company resources. The last month of the year we had quite a few employees reach out asking for a list of company reserved holidays and it was fun to show them that they had access themselves on their UKG homepage.

UKG Pro fast became our one source for all HR information. The modules we have with UKG are onboarding, Payroll, Time and attendance, Business Intelligence, Benefits, and Core

UKG Po is well suited for self-serve. If you are looking to move to ESS (Employee Self Serve) this is a great platform to use. You have the ability to configure the roles for employees, managers, admins, etc, and grant dashboard/reporting access. It is easy to use and very user-friendly

Process payroll through UTM - Time management for all timekeeping needs. Process payroll through UKG Pro. Collaborate with Tax and Payment services for all tax and garnishment needs for our company. Use multiple time-off plans for our team and help maintain accounts.

Great integrated system for Onboarding through Time Management. Our managers like the fact that they can process the onboarding online before the hire date so the employee is able to start day 1 with very [few] issues. Timecards and access are generally ready within 24 hours of the hire date. Payment Services for Tax filing have been a nightmare! Delay and lack of response for several cases that have been escalated up to our Account Manager who also has been frustrated with the lack of response/acknowledgment received.

We use onboarding, core, time management, and payroll. We also use the mobile app. Our associates on the properties are able to clock in and out through the mobile app and request time off. We have used document acknowledgment for our handbook and policies as well as capturing vaccination information prior to our annual conference.

Payroll processing is easy to manage. Cases are easy to submit and response time is good. Customer support is good. payment services are lacking. We have had issues for 2 years now and been through several UKG folks supporting our account. Responsiveness is lacking in payment services.

My department uses UKG Pro for all actions on the HR side. One of the areas we spend more time with issues is on our benefits platform, PlanSource. We have ongoing Service Requests and Cases that are sometimes resolved quickly, sometimes not. The large majority of these are related to PlanSource, so they are outside of Core UKG Pro.

  • 1095 reporting. Last year we had to run all states instead of being able to run just CA
  • BI has become more user friendly, I'd like to use more of the canned reports, but they don't always seem to be accurate
  • I've had cases where I've asked someone to call me to resolve because it would only take a few minutes. The cases tend to go back and forth due to miscommunication and take much longer to resolve than they should.
I think one of the most important parts of any system is the implementation. Having the right expertise during this process is key to long-term success. I would have liked to have been at the company when it was implemented to have influenced some of the setups. There is a lot of clean-up that has occurred over the past two years that could have been avoided. Now that the majority of it is cleaned up, it's much easier to use and processes flow better. We do a lot of acquisitions and I believe there is still some development that could take place to better support this type of customer. Overall, it's a great product, we love it.

We currently use UKG Pro as our HRIS system company-wide. UKG pro is user-friendly and we use it from recruitment to offboarding and everything in between.

We use UKG pro as our HRIS. We use the payroll module to pay employees, UTM to track their time. Our employees select and manage their benefits in UKG. We also use UKG learning to track regulatory training and new hire training,
