Evaluation Lessons Learned

There isn't much I would change, I've had exposure to numerous CRMs over the years and despite Salesforce's shortcomings around support and the steep learning curve to figure out how to use it there isn't a better option.

Evaluation Lessons Learned

If we had to do it again, we would spend more time in the sales process asking questions to the rep that better align with how we intend to use the product now. We should have matched up features and functionality between the existing CRM we had and then what we would be getting with Salesforce App Cloud. We also wish we would have done an analysis of Salesforce and Pardot, since we were considering both platforms at the time.

Evaluation Lessons Learned

As I was not part of the original decision, I can only say that were I now in a position to choose a CRM, I would likely go with Salesforce still. Not only am I familiar with the platform, I also know that it has a strong reputation in the industry. The company is admirable in its philanthropic efforts, and it continues to grow and be at the forefront of its technology. As a technology company, that is what we look for in our partners.

Evaluation Lessons Learned

I was not part of the evaluation of the initial purchase but I have been of the re-order. Salesforce is a complete system and there are still new things that we learn every month from using salesforce. A platform this powerful does not exist elsewhere on the market at this time, but for the future it may be best to keep an eye on other salesforce competitors.
