Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

The easiness to use in remote control use cases, the ability to transfer files between endpoints, and the fact that you don't need to register in order to use it are some of the main advantages of this tool. Despite that, the need to have the exact same version in both endpoints so that the communication work it's a bumper. The ads are also a negative point of the free version and count on having to do updates on the app quite often.

Like previously mentioned, teamviewer has been most helpful while troubleshooting peers with IT questions that they might have. It has been a simple way to connect with others without having the need to be in their space at that specific time.

TeamViewer might be suited if your business is constant remote support. For any business that only wants to make occasional use of the product is is not good value for money.

It is great for unattended access. It allows us to support one another since we are are working remotely, and in the office instead of running around from office to office, wasting time, it is very easy to pick up the phone and log on remotely and solve problems or give insight.

Bad experience

If was not the Subscription issues that I had, I would recommended but this is big company and I was expecting more clarity on payment options. Not to act as scamming tools to take your money when you're not expecting.

Great Product, Untrustworthy Company. Technically, TeamViewer Remote Control is an excellent product with a superb feature set. In my experience, their customer service is average, but their technical support is pretty good. However, as a company they are not to be trusted. I spent thousands of dollars on a "perpetual" license of TeamViewer 10 and was led to believe that it would work in perpetuity. Then TeamViewer changed their pricing structure to a subscription based system and said they would be discontinuing "Server" services for my version of TeamViewer. Without "Server" services the product only works on the local LAN which is pointless. I will no longer be able to connect to my customers remotely via the internet. At the time of this announcement, there was a large outcry from TeamViewer customers. TeamViewer's response initially was canned quotes and lots of BS. Ultimately, they "appeased" us by allowing our "perpetual" licenses to continue until 10 years from purchase date, at which time it will stop working. That is NOT the definition of "perpetual." Now, TeamViewer is trying to offer me 50% off the regular subscription price "for life", but at this point I no longer trust TeamViewer as a company and will be looking for a replacement product once my "perpetual" license stops working.

In my opinion Teamviewer is very useful for managing remote server of the customers instead to establish a vpn client session. It's good for users assistant too. It is not appropriate if you need to give assistance in a productive environment where the PC move machinery like robots and where fo move it in security, the operator should approve the connection for exclude human presence near robots.

TeamViewer is very suitable:
The user can schedule meetings, share files via TeamViewer and make presentations. TeamViewer can also be very useful in schools and universities to access systems from any other location without having to physically travel.

Scenarios where it is less appropriate:
Personally, the free version when it comes to data transfer, the speed is also not very fast and sometimes automatically, the application crashes if a problem occurs when connecting to the receiving system.

For remote businesses (who isn't ;)) who need to support their employees with issues on their devices - TeamViewer is definitely something to consider. Really easy to use from an admin perspective and end-user.Supports all of the major OSs too - Windows, Linux, OSX so you can pretty much cover your full estate (We've only used it on Windows machines).

A VPN or Citrix solution is more expensive than using TeamViewer, but the cost is less than the cost of deploying a VPN. Small remote offices and organizations without on-site IT assistance are ideal candidates for Team Viewer. Citrix or a secure VPN is more suited for bigger offices. TeamViewer is also more secure than a VNC client.

We often use TeamViewer when one of my team members and I need to work on the same document or when one of my team members needs assistance with using or navigating one of our business tool applications. We have even jointly created "how to" type video content with the two "video hosts" contributing from different locations.

TeamViewer is well suited in cases where a small team manages a large amount of users and systems. It is also handy for a larger IT team who manages a globally distributed workforce. This is especially true since TeamViewer doesn't require any special ports opened in firewalls in order to function.

It doesn't make much sense to spend several hundred dollars on the service if a single individual manages less than 20 workstations.

It's best for providing remote support to clients easily in a fast and secure manner. It can be used for any small-scale to large scale enterprise. It's less appropriate to use this software on critical systems or on any system that has sensitive information since like any software an intruder can connect and sabotage this sensitive information.

TeamViewer is well suited when your network and workstations are straightforward with no unusual setups and where you control the version of TeamViewer that is on the workstation. If you do not control the version of TeamViewer on the workstation then it may not be well suited for your needs as it can be quite annoying when a connection cannot be made due to version issues.

We plan to integrate TeamViewer with Microsoft Intune for better support assistance, asset inventory, third-party updates, and pushing Windows Update and versions. We are currently using both LogMeIn and TeamViewer but looking to move fully move over to TeamViewer, but we have both for redundancy in case one of the applications crashes, which it does happen. Especially with Apple devices, LogMeIn seems to have an easier time using un-attended access compared to TeamViewer, as well as being able to hear the audio.

I would recommend that administrators who may have to work remotely try this application for remote support and training staff and clients. Information technology departments can remotely update systems with no user required at any computer. One possible feature or situation that could be a security option would be to remove the TeamViewer service completely once the remote task is completed on each system. This option is available in some other tools.

In publishing, TeamViewer makes our lives easier when proofing, editing, sharing, or consulting with clients on their publishing journey. We also use it internally to maintain and support our own computers, phones, servers, devices using their fast, high-performance global network. It has helped us support our clients while supporting our own infrastructure at the same time.

SMB might find the price too expensive. Many features are not used and can't be unpurchased. Does great: remote desktop with bi-directional file and clipboard transfer.

TeamViewer is just hands down one of the best remote-desktop systems out there. While I don't think the voice chat/text capabilities are as good as other dedicated chat systems, the remote-access capabilities make up for it. I got a lot of use out of this on projects where I would need to rapidly share large complex files with other team members and we'd have multiple file iterations working. TeamViewer really helped organize them all and helped us store them remotely on desktops dedicated for the project, rather than only being able to have 1 person at a time working.

TeamViewer is a great service that allows me to remote into computers and fix many issues without having to drive over to the location. It allows me to offer discounted pricing and to avoid in-home or in-business visits during this COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, if there is a local connectivity issue I must drive over to the customer's site anyway.

TeamViewer is well suited for businesses of all sizes if there is no other apparent option available for use. It can be used by IT support to manage tech issues, software trainers to help users learn new products, and even to allow a small user base to access their PCs from home as needed. it is not a good choice to share content or have meetings vs. products like Zoom or Go To Meeting.
