We use UKG Pro for Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Time Management. I have used many different Payroll and HRIS systems in the past twenty years and UKG is by far the best. The functionality is so expansive and the system is very user friendly for both the employees and us Administrators. Their reporting functionality is very good and easy to use.
  • Recruiting is very in-depth and there are a lot of options to customize it.
  • Payroll is very user friendly and comprehensive.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting module is a little difficult to edit reports to add or remove fields.
  • Would like the option to import deduction corrections that do not overwrite their current deductions.
I have not found any areas in which the functionality was sub par. From my experience using other systems, UKG is leaps ahead of any of the others.

UKG is our Payroll System, used on a daily basis to process Payroll for over 18000 active employees. In my role, I create and process Payroll Reports in BI and standard Reporting (both the Web and BackOffice). I like some of the standard reports because they are easy to use for daily audits but I have also created several reports in BI that are specific for my auditing purposes.

We use UKG Pro as an HCM for payroll, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and benefits adminstration. By using UKG Pro as the system of record for all aspects of employment, it streamlines processes and reduces duplication of data.

UKG Pro is the only third party payroll provider I have experience with, however I had demos with many providers before making the decision to go with UKG Pro. We previously processed payroll internally and used different vendors for recruiting/onboarding and benefits administration. UKG Pro has simplified the entire employee experience by having all functions under one platform.

UKG Pro is being used by our entire organization. It is utilized as our HR software to store all employee information, annual benefit elections, time management, payroll, and reporting. It's allowed us to go paperless as an HR Department. It has also allowed for in-depth, accurate reporting of information including turnover which has been a huge focus. UKG Pro is really our one-stop shop.

Our organization utilizes UKG as its Core HCM tool. We have Core with Benefits and Payroll, Case Management, File Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, and BI reporting.

For us, UKG is the one-stop-shop for our employee's HR needs. All HR requests can be funneled through ECM to streamline our processes. From a recruitment standpoint, all candidates flow through UKG from application through Onboarding and into Core. It has made our recruitment process much more efficient and our recruitment metrics are performing below SHRM averages.
  • UKG is good at engaging their customers to see what enhancements could be made to make their customer's lives easier.
  • UKG is responsive when you call into the hotline for assistance.
  • The webinars for releases are super helpful.
  • While they are excellent at asking for suggestions, there are plenty of suggestions that have an enormous amount of votes and have not been implemented and/or are not being considered.
  • Within recruitment, error messages do not indicate what the actual problem is and you have to dig to figure out the issue. If there is a character spacing issue, highlight it or provide text that pinpoints the issue.
UKG is a great tool for those looking for a new HRIS vendor. UKG is well suited as a comprehensive HCM platform and can provide efficiencies within your organization. Organizations where I have used UKG have not exceeded 6,000 employees so I am not sure how the product scales for organizations above that size.

It's our HR system of record, used by all employees in some way. All users are in the system every day for timekeeping, managers look up employee information, and service members use it to update/maintain employee data. The system also feeds out to many other systems.

We currently use UKG Pro, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Benefits Enrollment. All of our employees use UKG either at an employee level, manager level, and/or administrative level. We have multiple business processes turned on for the employee so they can easily change their information and it flows to an HR approver. We would like to roll out more business processes at the manager level, but as an organization, we are not there yet.
  • Customer Support: the customer portal is such a great tool to get answers quickly.
  • Customizable: we have multiple customizations.
  • Free on-line courses are available for customers.
  • Need some user defined fields in recruiting.
UKG Pro has met our needs and anytime we need help, they eagerly set up and help us. I personally have never had a problem with implementing or being a user of UKG Pro.

Our company uses UKG Pro for time management and payroll for our employees including human resources and recruiting. We also like the reports from BI. It is currently being used by the entire company. It helps with the onboarding process which is cumbersome with 200 + employees hired in our busy season. UKG Pro is a lifesaver.
  • Onboarding: The flow from the recruiting platform is great to hire an employee to limit the manual entry.
  • Recruiting: The platform is accessible by all devices which is a plus for an applicant to apply.
  • BI Reports: They can be simple or complex and it is not hard to create.
  • Benefits section: Termination is a little cumbersome when an employee has enrolled in multiple benefit plans. You should be able to enter one term date for all benefits to be terminated.
There is some room for improvement for hospitality companies in understanding the different tipping options for the system to be better suited for that particular company.

We use UKG company-wide to manage our recruiting, payroll, timekeeping, and performance management. It also serves as our main way of storing employee data. UKG has allowed us to better serve our managers via reports, data collection, and overall ease of managing the "data" of employees. We use the home page as a catch-all for all company communication and it houses our policies, procedures, and company announcements. UKG is easy to use for our employees and managers and has changed, for the better, how HR serves our internal customers.
  • Reports: Easy to create, store and run for managers.
  • Employee Data: Easy for employees to make updates to personal information and to find applicable data relevant to them.
  • Benefits management: Easy open enrollment features, data feeds with benefit carriers run smoothly, ease of use for employees to see what benefits they currently have.
  • Recruiting: More standard reports to help in looking at applicant data
  • Workforce Management: Need easier way for employees to see PTO while in a timesheet.
  • BI: More training or basic reports for use
If you want a centralized way to manage all aspects of HR. I can't imagine there being a better solution than UKG. I have implemented 4 systems throughout my career and UKG is leap years ahead of any competition. It works well for both small and large companies, regardless of industry.

We use UKG Pro for both Payroll and HR functions. We have recently added recruiting. I do not use that module, but from what I have heard it is making it easier to enter requests for new roles to be filled. I like to reports, and the ability to run on the fly or modify current reports. My biggest issue is the help desk ticket system. I feel like I open a case and never really get a resolution. On the live call or chat I get excellent service and quick answers and/or help. I do receive an email with each step of a case but the email gives no information, which is time consuming to go into the system if you have many open cases. The resolution time is getting faster and may just be a case of catching up.
  • Reports- a great variety of reports that cover the needs over many functions. Being able to run on demand what reports I need for a given task is great.
  • Enhancements-UKG Pro listens to the users and takes suggestions for new products or services.
  • Qtr and year end planning- UKG Pro has a great review and listing to tasks needed to be completed for the quarters and year end.
  • Quick to report on tax updates and changes for State, local, sui taxes
  • Case system. If you open a case you get email acknowledgement. Then another when it is assigned. Then another email letting you know they have reached out to you. Not in that email just in the case notes. The emails do not give any details other than case number. I open many cases and have to go in and out of case system to figure out which case they need or want information on.
  • Additional tax payment notification.- Aside from checking every day if there is a new payment coming out, other than normal PR [payments], there is not a good notification process.
  • I feel the updates to open a tax case are a little cumbersome.
It is a well rounded system [that] I have implemented and used at two companies. At the 1st company we also had international employees. Ulti had very good third-party providers that were very knowledgeable.

UKG Pro is our one stop shop! All of our subsidiaries use the platform and it's been flexible enough to meet our needs from our passenger rail line to our industrial warehouse development company. The interface is very user friendly and helped us transition our employees from HR time stealers for things like address or direct deposit updates. Now we can be more strategic and help propel our companies forward.
  • The interface is very user friendly and easy to modify most fields to fit our companies needs.
  • They are great at listening to clients for ways to improve the product and keeping up with federal mandates.
  • They have created a great community where professionals can exchange best practices and solutions to issues.
  • I love the ticket system for bringing up issues, but it could use some refinement in the way it is processed. Sometimes it takes way longer than I feel it should for my issue to be addressed. Especially for cases that have to occur annually because the change must be made by UKG.
  • I would like to see them continue to expand the ability to have component companies have their own branding. It was great to see in Onboarding.
UKG Pro is great for the company that wants to consolidate their information onto one platform. If you have to manually move information from one system to the other, then UKG is great because it;s all in one place. This helps cut down with data entry errors. It's also great for companies whose HR is bogged down with administrative work. The system can be set up to allow managers and employees more access to make necessary changes freeing up HR to help in a more strategic role.

UKG Pro is being used across the whole organization. Before we were using multiple systems to house employee data, UKG Pro solved that by allowing us to have everything all in one system.
  • Customer Service - They are quick to respond and resolve issues.
  • Product Innovation - They are constantly making updates to the system to improve the user experience.
  • Great Learning Tools - Not only does UKG have a great system, but they give administrators and users many tools to learn how to use the system.
  • Our company has had some issues with Workforce Management missing some key areas that we need for day to day operations.
UKG Pro has made the Human Resource Department's day to day activities a lot easier to manage. Before we would spend most of our time entering in data into two to three different systems. With UKG, we are able to have one system of record and even allow users to have more control over updating their information within the system. From a benefits stand point, we went from having to meet with every employee for Open Enrollment to having a large percentage fill out their own enrollment online due to ease of use for the user.

We use UKG [Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)] throughout our whole organization for payroll, benefits, learning, recruiting, onboarding, etc. The one stop shop for all things employee related is great for our team and our employees.
  • Benefits - It tracks arrears, something that a lot of software does not do well.
  • Recruiting - Very robust platform that links with popular recruiting websites easily.
  • Vendor interfaces - We have files that run automatically to keep participant data updated in regard to benefits and 401k.
  • Implementation - It's not a bad thing, just be prepared for a grueling process.
We evaluated several options before choosing UKG [Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)]. UKG brought us the best option at the best price. We were using a very outdated software previously and were out of touch with employees. This software has helped us build communication all the way down to our frontline employees.

We've implemented almost all UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) modules and went from no HRIS (most work was done via Excel spreadsheets) to implementing a robust HRIS solution. We also took the opportunity to consolidate the data of employees across six entities into one system. This has been immensely useful in accessing a single source of truth for all information.

Best suited for medium to large employers with multiple users, administrators, etc. Permissions can be customized to only give users access to what they need access to.

UKG Pro is our employee database and is used for reporting, payroll, timekeeping, onboarding and soon performance management. It is used throughout the agency. The employee portal is used extensively to communicate and share information with employees since we are located in multiple states and locations. It has allowed us to streamline processes and significantly reduce paper usage, i.e. paper timesheets and new hire paper forms. In the last two years, we have unified how UKG Pro is used since practices used to vary by state. I love working with this UKG product!

I have used UKG Pro on two occasions. My first experience was with a for-profit insurance company with 1,100 - 1,200 employees. I had never used it before and was pleased with how quickly I was able to become self-sufficient. My current role is with a non-profit human services agency of a similar size. The transition was easy even though the business model was very different. I think UKG Pro is well-suited for any organization who is looking for a dependable, easy-to-use product that offers many solutions and provides extraordinary customer support.

UltiPro is used across the organization. All of our employees utilize it to access their personal information and benefits/open enrollment/life events. Our payroll and HR departments utilize it most frequently. We use it to store employee data and are currently implementing the Recruiting and Onboarding module
  • Self-service. Their customer portal is extremely easy to use and provides an immense amount of training materials. I had zero experience with UltiPro when I first started my role and was able to utilize all of the materials on their website to become our company's SME.
  • The user interface is unmatched. A person can jump right in even if they've never used it and start producing results.
  • They provide great customer service. It's easy to submit cases and they follow up with you within 24 hours almost every time. We can also reach out to anyone on our support team and get help almost immediately.
  • We'd like it if some basic features were more customizable without requiring an added cost or issues with new releases. For example, the items that show up on a confirmation page after a life event or open enrollment; if a benefit requires an expression, the cost does not calculate and appear.
UltiPro is great for benefits! Having to collect and process people's benefits by hand is incredibly tedious, and having a system where employees and elect and make changes to their own benefits is a huge help, especially when it comes to Open Enrollment.

I am in the Payroll Dept. and we use it, as well as the HR Department. We recently had them do a complete assessment for us to give us a better idea of what additional products we were paying for and not using yet. We plan to implement several more of their products over the coming year. Currently our employees can view their personal information, pay stubs and W2's. We intend to open up employee self service soon.
  • UltiPro provides the best customer service of any vendor I have done business with. They have a rapid response phone line for issues during our payroll processing which is extremely helpful during that time crunch.
  • UltiPro offers lots of free training classes for all of their products. Many of them are virtual so very convenient for us.
  • Ultipro has a convention annually that allows you to take additional classes, in addition to networking with lots of other customers that use their products.
  • I honestly do not have any areas that come to mind. When there are things that need improvement, they have a place to submit change requests that other customers can vote on to get them implemented.
Ultipro has been excellent in running our payrolls. We have over 2200 employees, two companies, 8 paygroups and we run about 12 payrolls per month. Our HR Department will begin using several Human Resource products that they provide, next year. We also intend to move to their time keeping products next year.

Reeb Millwork uses UltiPro for Benefits and Payroll. We implemented Payroll and Core earlier this year and are in the midst of Benefits Open enrollment. It is used across all Reeb locations and departments, supported by Human Resources, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll and Finance.

UltiPro has enabled us to automate journal entries, develop monitoring reports to better manage our business, and provide a better user experience for our employees (combining several systems into one stop shop). We will be implementing the Recruiting portion as well, which will continue to help our internal staff processes, as well as reduce repetitive actions from potential Reeb employees.
  • Direct Deposit is user friendly and automates a previously manual process.
  • IBM Cognos Reporting provides various standard reports, as well as the ability to customize and create dashboards to enable better management of HR and Payroll processes.
  • UltiPro provides a singular location for employees to access and manage their information, including HR, Benefits and Payroll.
  • UltiPro training on IBM Cognos Analytics could be more robust, but we joined at a time when they had just completed their implementation. Additional training modules have been added which should assist with this process is the future.
  • UltiPro Live Training sessions could be provided more frequently. We had a short implementation period and found it challenging to attend the Live training sessions, which in my opinion were more beneficial than the recorded sessions (they are good, just found the Live sessions to be better).

We use UltiPro to process in-house, weekly payroll for about 4,700 employees from 61 different locations (3 states.) This takes a 4 member team an average of 7 hours to do. Our entire population has access to the UltiPro portal where they can see their profile (which includes their taxes, benefits, paychecks, vacation and personnel time, rate of pay, etc.) They can access this from their computer or phone. My specialty field is benefits; I can tell you Ulti has been there from day one with the ACA compliance for part-time benefits. Over different areas we have looked for a 3rd party to administrate some things; but that didn't last long because Ulti has been there to provide us with what we need, so much so that we didn't have to send out to a 3rd party.
  • Great customer service. Their employees have the patience of saints!
  • Webinars/online support- if you need to review anything, you can go onto UltiPro web site and find it. They have step by step directions on how to do anything. They send information about upcoming Webinars that are every knowledgeable.
  • Ulti always seems to know what's going on. If there have been changes to local taxes, compliance issues, state regulations on leave time, etc., they seem to know and have a plan to put into place.
  • Report writing could always be made easier to use.
  • Have the ability to archive somethings in employees records. For example, deductions that are no only in use.
  • Their electronic benefits. As a benefits manager, I know this is an area that can use work in any system.
I think Ulti is suited in all areas. Payroll, benefits, reporting, electronic files, Federal and State compliance.
