Reviews
(376-400 of 654)HubSpot Gets a Big A
It allows us to have better oversight of our email program, which can be challenging with more than one person in our company emailing our database. It lets us better manage the number of touches each of our customers get, and speak to those customers based on their current status with our site.
- The platform itself is very easy to use - once you spend some time with it. It definitely requires time. It's not a platform you can watch a webinar on, and jump right in to use it. However, the training, tutorials, blog and customer support is exceptional. And the ease of getting email campaigns out the door makes it worth your time.
- The email module includes everything you would need in an email - call-to-action buttons, landing pages, a/b campaigns, various email templates to choose from. I love their email platform. And, the really cool thing is, you can see what your email will look like on multiple devices and operating systems. And it's all very easy. Plus, the platform looks at every email campaign you do, and provides feedback on the best day of the week to send, the best time to send, and tips for improving the performance of your email.
- The campaigns feature lets you set up a campaign, track the response and/or success, and make adjustments for improvement on the fly.
- I really have to commend them on their customer support. Between their Help Desk and my account rep, I feel like I have constant support with this platform. And they have tons of training available at any given time - step by step lists of what to do to get your marketing program off the ground.
- Some of the reporting doesn't add up. There are a few different ways you can measure campaigns, but they don't always report the same outcome.
- I've been frustrated with our API. I'm still not sure if the issue is on our end or HubSpot's end. But it has been a constant source of frustration, getting current information from our system to HubSpot's platform.
perspective of relatively new user
- Landing pages are much more meaningful with the progressive profiling capability. Progressive profiling allows you to control which questions appear on a form based on what you already know about a lead. This helps to keep forms short and easy to complete and prevents you from asking a prospect the same question more than once.
- It is much more efficient using the contact list tools to understand, immediately, the road a prospect has traveled in their journey on our site.
- Less well than what? Hubspot isn't a magic bullet. Tools and services such as Google Analytics are still important... but if one has made the decision to transition one's marketing approach to inbound from outbound/traditional, I did not find a better alternative.
HubSpot IS Our Marketing Department
- The site page and landing page tools let me create new pages and rework existing pages on the fly. The blog tool is simple to use and the SEO hints help me make sure what we're publishing can be found easily by our targets.
- The list tool is one of my favorite features. We have seemingly infinite ability to segment leads which helps me understand who they are, what their interests are, and how we're doing in attracting the kind of customers most likely to benefit from our product. Not only filter for contact properties, but really zero in on a specific set of behaviors -- email interactions, page visits, etc.
- The workflow tool just keeps getting better. I've been able to easily create drip campaigns and change or expand those sequences easily.
- The new CRM is a work in progress. As is, it isn't exactly what we need because we want to track something other than the sales funnel, but given HubSpot's track record for constant improvement I'm hopeful that it will be a better fit in the future.
- In early going (2013) the content management tools were a bit "cludgy" but again, over time improvements are continuous and I find the "COS" it pretty easy to use overall.
- The campaigns tool is very interesting, but I've had an issue with tracking the conversion of imported contacts to customers. As it's built, I currently don't get "credit" for those conversions in the campaign dashboard.
I love Hubspot!
But note, you have to be willing to work and learn. The first year learning curve is steep, but if you can stick with it, you can do magic!
I am a one person operation here and with the software I can remain that way.
- Software is great and always getting better. Hubspot stays ahead of the curve!
- Support - Awesome!
- Education - it covers everything including software technical operation to the why, how and best practices to implement the programs the software lets you do.
- Sunday help hours would be great
- Customer service is awesome
- My account rep, Catyn, is very helpful.
- Continuing update and improvements
- The world is changing so fast and there needs to be a balance sharing new info. However, the info is there and not force fed.
Hubspot and Me...my world as a Hubspot customer
- Updates to the platform. HubSpot is excellent at constantly improving the platform
- Customer service. I've seen many companies that have terrible customer service and HubSpot is not one of them. After working with them for 4 years, I have to say that their service has actually improved over the years. Its efficient, reliable, and most of all helpful.
- Free content. Even for folks that are not customers of HubSpot, the amount of information that they provide about Inbound marketing (and so much more!) is amazing.
- Use of tools. Because I use it day in an out, I find sometimes its difficult to stay on top of all of the updates they do. The majority of them are beneficial but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming.
- More customization within the platform. I would love to see a way to be able to customize the look of the the tools you use the most, as well as be able to provide some fun design elements to the look and feel of the platform. I guess I get a little tired of looking at the white walls sometimes :)
- Provide an yearly overview. I would love to have a way to do a year (or bi-yearly) review of everything we're doing. Someone to really spend a few hours with us to look at the big picture and give us tips on how to improve what we're doing.
I can't imagine using any other software
- Blogging platform is easy to use.
- They nurture customers and provide helpful advice through their weekly blogs.
- Technical support staff is friendly, responsive, and helpful.
- Outstanding 2013 Inbound Marketing Conference. Informative and entertaining. I learned so much!
- Expertise of staff like Dan Zarella and Pamela Vaughn.
- Package options that are affordable for new start-ups.
- More blogs on higher education sector. I've noticed an increasing number of blog about non-profits but I would welcome some tailored to higher ed.
- Some of the features of the blog platform could be more user-friendly like a separate button for news and blog updates. For example, I wanted to create a news article but I had to go back into an existing news article to create one.
- I was getting an error message on blogs for lack of meta tag words and it took awhile to fix it.
- HubSpot's training program is out of this world. Seriously, I couldn't have caught on better than through their certification programs, and am thrilled with how well thought out their training is.
- Publishing is so easy through HubSpot's social tools. I haven't experienced a platform for publishing that I have enjoyed as much as HubSpot.
- HubSpot's layout is simple and beautiful. It makes switching between clients and juggling projects seamless!
- Having the ability to keep all previously marketed landing pages and utilized material in one spot is very accommodating for people who are just joining the workspace. It's not always easy to find time to train someone in a marketing position, but HubSpot practically does it all for you!
- We have experienced some glitches in posting to social. A couple of times, it has dropped its verification of our social accounts and we have had to go through manually and re-verify. This wouldn't have been an issue if HubSpot had emailed anyone to warn us about it. Something like, "Oh no! Did you delete a social account?" Just so we could have re-verified and re-scheduled previously scheduled posts for clients. We got behind last week because of a glitch.
- I think that social should have a tab for Instagram. Posting in advance to Instagram would be such a key feature--especially for visually-driven clients.
- Social should have the capability of tagging Facebook friends/groups/fan pages/etc. so that we can increase our clients' exposure. I feel like we are losing out on a lot of leads by not having that capability.
Getting real results with HubSpot
- Using HubSpot's website hosting feature has helped us to better manage all of our online efforts. The system is very user-friendly and intuitive. We've used a number of hosting platforms in the past, and found them to be either 1) too advanced, requiring coding knowledge, or 2) too basic, with limited functionality. HubSpot is the perfect balance of these - it doesn't require coding experience, but still provides the capability to build a site that looks and performs really well. It also offers flexibility to enhance it further by using custom coding, if desired.
- We are beginning to take advantage of HubSpot's smart content functionality. It enables us to provide a more relevant experience for each of our website visitors, based on their personas, their stage in the buyers journey, and previous actions they've taken on our site. The options are limitless, so we're taking baby steps right now. Even with that, we're already seeing results from our initial efforts - higher conversion rates and more qualified leads coming from the site.
- The marketing analytics that HubSpot provides have been very valuable. In the past, we weren't able to identify areas that were performing well or those that were performing poorly. Now, we're able to see what pieces of content are most popular, which are producing the highest quality leads, what pages are contributing to getting us the best leads, what referral sites are bringing us traffic, how each piece of our marketing puzzle is performing with respect to lead generation. We were able to get some of this data from Google Analytics and other programs, but now it's all under one roof, so the data is consistent and we're able to measure these things in a much more consistent way.
- An area that I've personally struggled with is new product/functionality rollouts. The system is so robust and can do a lot of different things, so when a new feature is added to the mix, it can be challenging to get up to speed and learn how this new feature should be used and how it impacts other areas of the platform. And HubSpot seems to rollout new features quite frequently. So while that's a positive, it can be tough to keep up. At times, I've gotten behind the learning curve on many new products/features and felt somewhat overwhelmed. There are a number of resources available to learn (webinars, a learning community, tutorials, customer support), but at times, it can be daunting to try to keep up with all the new advancements.
Outside of that, I'd score HubSpot as a 10. When an organization has a team (or even just one individual) who recognizes the system's potential and is committed to implementing it, the benefits are clear and results will be realized in a short amount of time.
All your marketing in one place
- Extensive metric tracking makes it easy to see at-a-glance where to focus my efforts.
- Social media management makes connecting and engaging with network much easier.
- Templates make it easy to create effective emails and workflows to nurture leads.
- Having all marketing tools in one place is a real cost saver.
- I would love to see more capabilities under contacts related to the sales funnel such as sales meeting scheduled, sales meeting held, proposal sent including a place to take notes on the conversation
- I would love to see the ability to monitor/connect with other social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn similar to what hubspot currently does with Twitter
- I would like to see an easier way to see at-a-glance the more active contacts.
- Simplifies gathering metrics.
- Makes it easy to maintain and update the website.
- Workflows and lists allow automation of process.
- Workflows cannot yet be based on the date of an action, such as close date.
- Emails from contact that are sent to spam are automatically marked as opt out, even if the contact then marks it as "not spam," causing lost contacts.
- Lists and Workflows can be a bit confusing when you are first starting out.
HubSpot review
I am a HubSpot junkie, now. I cannot wait to check out our Dashboard every morning to get updated on changes that occurred overnight. And with HubSpot, you get almost instant gratification. Training, support, and the continual updates to the software keep the tools fresh, my engagement constant, and the ability to reach goals and show demonstrable results in virtually every corner of our consulting firm.
- We find the data and reports to be the best tracking and analysis we have ever experienced.. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports for visits, contacts, leads, and growth in social media as well as keyword ratings enabled us to greatly improve our web traffic and increase our qualified leads.
- I personally have never had a better training experience for any software (and I have used others lik CoPilot and Prospect Ace). The training Webinars allow flexibility of scheduling, ease of revisiting topics, and easily applied methods for immediate use. The personable instructors are a bonus, as well.
- The ability to compare to competitors marketing ranking. While it is at the mercy of keyword ranking and social media presence to some degree, it is a starting point that allows us to stay motivated and recognize where we need to step up our game.
- While I don't think I actually dislike anything about HubSpot, I find the report printing can be a little challenging when I am trying to quickly print info for an impromptu meeting. It would be nice to have reports output to PDF for sharing with co-workers.
- Blog posting can be challenging at times. The edits and HTML coding do not always "hold" and I find that i have to delete everything to start the posting process from scratch, especially when using more than one image. However, it is not a huge problem and I have complete faith that HubSpot is working on improvements for this.
- When editing web pages, the controls require me to edit and re-post changes several times before they accept the changes.
You can't beat HubSpot
We spent quite a bit of time researching how we could approach this ourselves. We came up with some ways we wanted to market the online programs and set out to find the solutions. We originally were looking at some other products. I came across the HubSpot brand while participating in some forums and decided to check it out.
As it turns out, everything we wanted to do and more was contained within HubSpot. After a single product demonstration, I was sold and within a couple weeks my administrators were too. HubSpot is helping us address our problems with recruiting and doing it in single platform. They also have and excellent training program for customers that has allowed us to dig into the Inbound philosophy and understand the product as a whole.
- My experience is that HubSpot does many things very well. The first thing we fell in love with is the COS, content optimization system. They have built HubSpot so that it optimizes your content for you which makes everything we do more efficient and more effective.
- HubSpot does a tremendous job with product improvement as well. Not a single week has gone by, since we began using HubSpot, that they haven't rolled updates or new features. They also believe in a value added approach with the product and have never asked us to pay more or upgrade our account to have access to these features.
- HubSpot has provided us with all the training we have needed to work with their product. This is another reflection of their value added approach. They have training on the overall philosophy, the technical workings of the product and individual pieces that make the whole. This has been available to us from day one and we have never been asked to pay for it. We have another software company we use for our student data. We are severely under-trained in using it, because the only trainings they ever have available are thousands of dollars. I would replace that software in a heartbeat if I could, but I would fight tooth and nail to keep HubSpot.
- The one thing we came across that might be a weakness, was the initial setup. We filled out a survey that was thorough, but a couple designs decisions were made based on the survey that we would have liked to change. That being said, there was nothing wrong with the design. It may be something we need to change later however.
The one type of customer I'm not sure would want to use it would be a brick and mortar store that sells a large variety products that rotate. If you sell 1000 different nick knacks I don't see how you would use it. If you sell 25 models of air conditioners, I think you could break company sales records. The same goes for a service oriented business.
HubSpot - A Must!
- Creates contact lists to better find our target market.
- HubSpot just recently came out with a scheduling calendar that has helped us schedule out our calendar and assign tasks for all involved.
- When you go through the lists and click into them, when you go back it takes you to the homepage - instead of bringing you back to where you are. Would be nice to take you back to where you were and not jump around.
Very Satisfied!!
- Web design. The interface is very intuitive and user friendly. HTML coding is not required, but it's there to use if you're familiar with it.
- There's a comprehensive checklist on blog posts, web pages, and emails. The Keywords Tool makes it easy to track up to 1000 search terms to see what people are actually searching for and how people are finding our website.
- Training. I have very little experience in website management. HubSpot has detailed tutorials, video walk throughs, and a set-up specialist to make sure I understand the product, feel comfortable using it, and I'm using it correctly.
- I was a little overwhelmed when we first signed up for HubSpot. There's so much to do, I wish there was a checklist of things most customers need to accomplish within the first month. There wasn't a lot to guide what we did first and how to prioritize set up tasks.
- There are a few terms that HubSpot uses that I was either not familiar with before, or I've used in a different way. For example, a CTA in HubSpot is a specific button for website visitors to click on, rather than a simple encouragement to tack action. I wish there was a glossary of HubSpot terminology to ease my way into using the product.
A game changing product with a wealth of features
- HubSpot makes growing online traffic, lead generation and customer nurturing a truly integrated and easy to manage process.
- HubSpot makes content creation much easier to optimize for the web, by managing your keywords and helping you in the content development process by reminding you to use those keywords.
- HubSpot's workflows allow you to develop personalized, automated responses to customers behavior in emails or on your website.
- The product is so feature rich, with a small team, it's hard to utilize everything available to you.
- The contact database doesn't have complex fields that can hold a history of data from a client, something that would still require you to have a CRM like Salesforce.
Why go with HubSpot as a tech startup?
- Integration of all data around one single person
- Consulting and Support - HubSpot really wants you to be successful
- HubSpot App that allows you to easily stay up to date and contact new leads within a second
- The CMS is nothing for a great UX Designer and Frontender who loves to build their own interface.
- We struggled somehow with lead import and double-opt in but got it fixed after some days with HubSpot support.
- Some workflows are not so intuitive and sometimes HubSpot forgets to ask you for a confirmation that you really want to e.g. delete a contact, opt-out a contact, or send an e-mail. So, click accidents can happen.
- HubSpot is tracking nearly everything, but unfortunately HubSpot doesn't track social likes, shares and retweets. And it's not possible to build a list and rank contacts based on this criteria.
Hubspot Review of Reviews
- I've found that since I have started using HubSpot for our company's social media our engagement and follower count has increased.
- HubSpot is a great way to keep everything inbound organized and in one place.
- It takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing.
- Some of the classes in HubSpot are confusing.
HubSpot as Growth Enabler
- Ability to understand and leverage the digital body language or vistors
- Facilitation and support in the generation of content that is relevant to our readers.
- Will-not-let-you-fail support organization.
- HubSpot's background, as most Marketing Automation Platforms, is B2B. While we, as an eCommerce platform, can work with most concepts rather successfully, there are B2C specific challenges that HubSpot is still to address, e.g., nurturing of repeat business customers, loyalty schemes
- I wish analytics were stronger and more customizable.
- additional email management functionalities, e.g., send time and frequency optimization based on previously demonstrated opening behaviors, etc.
- When you put the time into Hubspot, whether it's blogging, re-tweeting or anything to get some interesting content out there - you will see the results start coming in instantly. I'm not saying you are going to get qualified leads instantly it takes time to dial in the target. However if you get active with it, you will see your traffic increase instantly.
- Hubspot makes making some simple web changes far easier than having someone else outside the organization do them. By doing so you can make changes quicker and more effectively illustrate to the world what your organization is and does.
- Hubspot also makes it easier to develop content that makes sense by the way their website walks you through the changes. Using Hubspot you can easily see if your meta data tags or keywords make sense or if you are just wasting your time.
- I would like the blog pages to look sharper. I think the pages on our main site reflect better on us that the Hubspot site. That said I am told we are on an older CMS.
Helping us reach our customers
- Help with building an efficient landing page.
- Giving ideas and starting points for emails, landing pages or blog posts.
- Guides us in the right direction of utilizing online content marketing to the greatest possibility
- In the Social Inbox, it would be great if there was a feature to just see the new posts. It often takes quite a bit of time to scroll through the past months to see if someone has liked a previous post.
- I would to see a way to make email design more user friendly so we can take the design of our emails to the next level.
Happy HubSpotter
- HubSpot's social inbox is extremely helpful one stop shop for monitoring, posting and reviewing all of our diff accounts activities.
- Template creation is extremely intuitive and HubSpot has created a streamline process to be able to make simple changes, review those changes and go back and redo those changes if need be.
- Having a snapshot view of performance within every content creation is the cherry on top!
- The live updating when making template changes for pages whether site or landing, takes too long.
- There is too long of a delay when editing plain text within an email causing us to lose all work done to that email prior.
Hubspot, your personal marketing department!
- As a general response, HubSpot has streamlined our online marketing efforts and lead to a substantial increase in leads. Before hubspot we collected few leads from our online resources, but hubspot streamlined our approach and has been a great success.
- More specifically, HubSpot integrated directly into our existing website, allow the insertion of clean, attractive landing pages and calls to action that resulted in excellent lead generation.
- On a personal note, coming from a science background my knowledge of online marketing was limited, but Hubspot's training and support programs are superb. Theses are not just about the product, but how to run successful online campaigns.
- User friendly. The functionality and ease of use of HubSpot is excellent and it is routinely updated to keep up with market trends and customer feedback.
- My biggest frustration was a recent change in their server set up and old landing pages had to be manually recreated. A bit time consuming, but the new landing pages do have greater flexibility and functionality.
- There's a LOT of features on Hubspot for customization and improved metrics, although they have training videos and webinars, I'm sure there's aspects I'm not fully utilizing. Is this a bad thing? If I had more time to learn then probably not.
You get out of it what you put in. If you do not have the content or the time to set up the workflows and campaigns then Hubspot won't do anything for you.
If you have content and some time, Hubspot will be a great time saver and marketing machine!
HubAwesome
- Email - Great analytics, allows you to preview emails across multiple devices. Light years ahead of Pardot.
- Landing Pages - Super easy to set up.
- HubSpot is always improving and growing. A couple weeks ago I would have asked for HubSpot to show email client share in the email analytics section. However, that has been implemented.
It is a platform that is easily usable by folks at all levels. I could definitely learn more and get more out of the platform.
Making life easy for Marketers!
- A single platform that integrates typically disparate digital marketing tools into one tool, from content management and social media through analytics and SEO. This is great for companies with stretched resources or a marketing team of one.
- Their support team is second to none. I don't know of any other company that is as responsive and looks after their customers and partners as well as Hubspot.
- Education, HubSpot provides some of the best training for customers and partners.
- The CRM needs some work, but hey, who's complaining it's free
- Sometimes the backend can be a little slow but nothing that isn't managable
In part HubSpot is licensed based on the number of contacts. For companies with large contact lists, there will be a cost implication, it is important to take this into consideration when looking at the platform.
