TeamViewer is not up to the standards and features of other products like Red Hat Satellite. The UI is clunky at times, and is not well suited for larger issues, or issues that require multiple IT admins. The performance of the connection is lacking, and can be improved. Other Red Hat products feel more refined.

Quicker and easier to use for all. The efficiency increase was astounding. The interface is quicker and easier to use, especially for those who are not the strongest with computer literacy. No more having to get on a call; explain where to go on the screen to share the screen, and then allow control.

ConnectWise's screenconnect was the biggest contender to TeamViewer as they are shaking up the industry with their web-based interface, super easy installation, and one-click remote support capabilities. Their pricing blew TeamViewer out of the water, and they were able to do the same features for a fraction of the price.

TeamViewer offers a decent price listing. However, free software like AnyDesk offers faster transfer rates, fluidity while connected to the host ensuring safe communication. The remote desktop software also offers prices and licenses for organizations or companies which enables them to manage users and groups for each session. Great product none the less.

Does a better overall job of remoting in to a users machine. Ease of use. Ability to see multiple monitors. Ability to turn off remote sounds or else just generally tweak the experience for both the help desk attendant and the user being helped. And the secure connection that gets established.

Compared to Microsoft Teams, we found that TeamViewer is better at providing quick and secure remote control of computers. It is especially effective for IT support, troubleshooting, and collaborative work across different platforms. Moreover, TeamViewer's cross-platform compatibility enables us to connect and control devices seamlessly, irrespective of the operating system.

Using Microsoft Teams for remote control of a user's computer does not allow for entering administrator credentials remotely and, therefore, cannot be used in our organization for installing or removing software. Also, it would require someone to physically be at the remote laptop to grant permission to give control. With TeamViewer, all you need is the machine's TeamViewer ID and password to sign into it.

TeamViewer is significantly easier to set up at a small scale than Microsoft RDP, plus it's cross-platform unlike RDP and provides a better UI and many more capabilities than just remote control, like file transfer and some management controls like reboot.

As I said earlier, it is a more reliable and polished product. You know when you ask someone to connect to their computer that you will be on their machine and fixing the problem in minutes. With VNC, we would connect, and then the cursor would stop moving or connect for a few minutes, and everything would lock and require them to restart their computer, re-establish VPN, and then connect again. With TeamViewer, as long as they have an internet connection, you can reach their PC.

For us we picked TeamViewer because we all have used it in the past. We knew the product was good. We all liked it. It was a product we all trusted. Past experience tends to speak well when it comes to different hardware and software. It is a program that was easy for us to deploy and manage.

Chime seems more like a text chatting platform than a remote session platform. Microsoft Teams seems better streamlined, but it feels very memory heavy and I've seen it lag. Webex seems slightly better, but is very clunky and has a less than stellar User experience. It seems cheap at times.

With TeamViewer, remotely accessing other workstation and file transfer are very efficient. Though others offer the same functionality as recording, meetings and screenshare, the security with TeamViewer is better. Ease of use of the tool which does not overwhelm the user is a plus especially for end-users and other business users.

I prefer to choose TeamViewer as it gives excellent options for managing the remote devices with an intuitive user interface, multiple remote login sessions support and remote login recording feature enablement over AnyDesk and Zoom for remote support capabilities and features enrich better screen resolution and control on remote devices.

TeamViewer is a one click solution that doesn’t require the client to be a networking tech savvy to set it up. With TeamViewer, no need to worry about private and public IPs nor firewalls and reverse proxies as the connection can be established through the TeamViewer servers thus no networking configuration is required unlike the other solutions.

The remote control is better than all the mentioned tools. The lag is not there compared to other tools. TeamViewer is easy on the pocket. The support team is actually helpful. The VPN feature is better than every other tool, which is why I woul prefer TeamViewer than the other tools.

  • Ivanti LANDESK Service Desk (discontinued)
Landesk is usefull but it's not indepented as TeamViewer. To use this tool you will need to have the full tool and the costs is really high compared to Teamviewer. Also it's not so easy to use when users are not on the LAN.

We tried the products by LogMeIn in the beginning and they were too cumbersome and slow compared to TeamViewer. We needed something straight forward, centralized and that we could do from anywhere in the world and the ease of use of TeamViewer helped achieve all of this.
