Having Gong allows us to easily collaborate because we can record calls to be shared internally and externally. As our entire team has access to the platform, all of the recordings are available for everyone to access - this means that messaging can be seamless across functional areas and that we never "misremember" a conversation.

At the last two companies I have been at, we have had Gong as a resource I found to be very helpful. It was implemented at both organizations for feedback purposes and increasing sales win rates. I think the initial adoption of Gong can be a challenge when reps feel like they're being listened to or micromanaged, but I find it has been extremely helpful to have the transcripts of calls to limit my note-taking and the ability to see suggestions/tips (feedback, wait time, talking time, etc.) I have been impressed with how many features Gong.io has added just in the last 2 years! I also love that I can comment and tag my colleagues so they can listen in on the recorded call. I do wish calls were recorded a bit faster - I find it takes a few hours before the recording is available. I also wish I had a direct relationship with a Gong.io CSM rep for 1:1 support so I am utilizing Gong most effectively. I would recommend Gong, it enables our teams to work smarter and become aware of habits on calls!

Gong is well suited for sales and client success teams, or really anyone who is client-facing. I don't think that Gong would be beneficial for teams who mainly work internally, like IT, product, etc. I've found when I was on the sales side, I used Gong the most, so I could tag my manager and ask for feedback around what I could have positioned better, how I could have done better discovery with a prospect, etc.

We use Gong to listen to calls, demos, and interactions with customers for our teams. We also use it to look at the deal board and determine if enough interaction has taken place if the opportunity is single-threaded or stale and so on.

I love Gong for the call coaching abilities, especially with speeding up calls, call timing tagged in each call, and AI technology use of trackers. I don't love how the deal board is set up for months rather than quarters and to customize you have to change the views every time. There doesn't seem to be a good way to save the view you want to return to a lot.

At iCapture, we utilize Gong to record all interactions with our clients. From the welcome call to team training, we record every meeting so that we can stay in the moment with our clients, but still have a resource to reference the conversation. We often share training recordings with our clients so that they can distribute them internally, and we review the recordings with our team to help improve our talk tracks and processes.

It's great that it integrates with Zoom so that all our meetings are automatically saved in Gong for reference.

As a new account executive, Gong was helpful in keeping track of training calls for review later. During ramp-up, Gong was helpful in listening to senior account executive calls to get familiar with organizing and conducting meetings. After a few months of building my pipeline, Gong is helpful in keeping track of my deals. Reminds me to ping clients, etc.

We use Gong to ideate product improvements and suggestions from the customers. Our team can directly see the feedback and search for it as Gong has the ability to transcribe calls, making it searchable across the entire organization.

Gong has been a game-changer, not only in staying organized with my customer and being thorough in follow-up -- it's also helped me be more mindful of gaps I might have in the deal so that I can be more intentional about covering those bases.

  • Less of an improvement and more of an opportunity -- capturing key goals or moments during discovery and providing bullets of those items for more streamlined follow up would be extremely helpful on a day where you're back to back in meetings and catching up on notes later in the evening.

Gong is a fantastic tool to rewatch past calls to understand the metrics of how engaged the customer is and how you are performing. I use it every day to learn from my peers, learn from my mistakes, and to collect any additional data I might have missed while on the call. It's easy to use and easy to navigate for specific calls. 10/10 from me.

Gong is great for learning from peers about how they take calls. The metrics provide you with a detailed oriented call breakdown between screen time and the percentage of each person's time talking. It's easy to navigate and easy to pick up where you left off on a call. The transcript is also a great tool to use to save dialogue from a further breakdown.

We use Gong in a variety of ways but mostly to support our sales team in various capacities. We leverage gong for internal training for Account Executives and new hires, to better understand our opportunity pipeline, and to consolidate client feedback. Gong is instrumental for individuals to help manage their sales cycles on new accounts and for managers to get better insights on individual pipelines and employee performance.

Gong is perfect for any sales team looking to improve individual seller performance or give management better insight on deals and active opportunity pipelines.

Gong is typically less appropriate for training/onboarding teams as those calls do not uncover enough additional value that was already gathered in a proper sales process.

We're a small team and fully remote for the foreseeable future. Gong has been invaluable in enabling our new sales hires (including myself) to ramp quickly and get up to speed. Also it's an amazing tool for enabling cross-timezone collaboration. I regularly give feedback to my colleagues especially the BDR I work with and am always excited to get feedback from others.
Equally, as our product is still fairly new, the feedback loop with sales/product/marketing is invaluable, especially via alerts and streams/Slack alerts which help our product managers and marketing team here real time feedback from the field.

Equally, we're using the Deals tab as part of our forecast meetings to get a more accurate picture of our pipeline health which isn't always the most pleasant experience - sometimes you have to accept your deal isn't as strong as you think. But Gong is like the "wise old man" in the room who tells you how things really are and not how you think they are.

We would really be a lot less successful without Gong. I'd struggle to do my job without it.

Gong is great for remote teams who want to enable collaboration and cross functional knowledge sharing.

It could be used by teams who meet in person with clients but it's better suited to remote selling/screenshare meetings etc

Gong is only as good as you make it - so some enablement/training on how reps and managers can use it is needed to make sure they use the full functionality. I can imagine a lot of people only use the basics and never use the more advanced stuff which is a shame.

Gong is an extremely important tool for my organization, as we use it as a way to constantly review our work and grow in our role. Gong provides my team with an easy and effective way to review calls for not only ourselves but our team members. This aids in our ability to grow in our own role by building off of the best practices of others within our team. This has been especially handy given that we work remotely and don't have the ability to listen to the calls of colleagues happening a desk or two away. Gong also provides great metrics for better understanding how to optimize our calls. Information regarding patience levels, engagement times, and much more help us adjust our calls to create a better experience for our clients. The system is also user friendly and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this platform!

Gong is used for recording and transcribing our client and internal meetings. Super useful as it is easy to create post-meeting notes, share the recording with clients and go from there. The reminder sent to keep our deals warm is splendid! It is also easy to review the meetings, look for specific words, whether certain areas of a product were covered, call scoring, reviewing and so much more.

I use Gong to review intro calls and demo calls. It is widely beneficial for me to go back and listen but also see the text that has been attached to review key parts of the discussion which gives me a better understanding of the convo the 2nd time around. I am allowed to hear things I might have missed the first time which helps me close more deals a I'm paying attention and listening the customer outside of the call.

Before Gong, to obtain any information about a conversation with a customer, we needed to rely on meetings and person-two–person knowledge sharing.

Gong provides our team with a fantastic tool that goes above and beyond call recordings and transcripts. Gong provides essential analytics on call topics, allowing us to quickly provide feedback to internal teams on product features and the user experience for products and services. As a CS, it also provides metrics on call interactivity and recommendations for improving calls, giving us the opportunity to identify room for growth when we're interacting with customers. The user interface is seamless and well-integrated within our internal CRM, making Gong one of our go-to tools.

Gong helps me forecast more accurately, proactively help AEs on my team with pipeline management and deal strategy, identify critical topics to coach AEs on, and so much more.

We use Gong to share calls with our managers to talk through challenges and learn from success, and it has become a sort of a stop-gap that prevents deals from falling through the cracks. The problem that is solved is not having an accurate account of calls. Gong is used on all our calls and is helpful to review the next steps as well as talking points that can be iterated.

  • The calls are recorded seemingly by magic so being able to record manually would be helpful.
I was surprised by how much I like Gong. It is well suited for all sales scenarios but I think the ability to track the next steps, and have videos to reference later make it a tool that can be used internally as well. In 10 years of sales, this has been the most helpful in making the connection between how I want to sound and how I actually come across. Listening more, open-ended questions, and purposeful pauses have all improved by listening to calls. To change anything you have to first acknowledge, second accept the situation, and then you can take action and Gong empowers all three!

Gong is used to recording all customer calls. One example - I was covering for a colleague who was on sabbatical. Some of the information I shared was said to be "the exact opposite" of what my colleague had previously told the customer. Uh oh! I was able to go back and listen to their previous call and confirm that this wasn't the case - we just worded things a bit differently and I could see where the miscommunication was taking place but, fortunately, we were aligned. Without Gong, I wouldn't have been able to find the call quickly, share the snippet externally, and make sure the customer knew she wasn't getting different information from different folks.

We have Gong automatically record our calls with prospects and customers. It's invaluable when needing to go back and listen to calls to identify action items and get a better understanding of what the prospect/customer was trying to articulate or share out internally or externally. Ultimately, I use Gong as a way to be fully engaged in a call, and it gives me the ability to revisit that call to then capture notes and any necessary follow-up.

I have many calls throughout the day, and oftentimes it's difficult to take notes on every technical detail that arises in them. With Gong, I can reference these calls and quickly come up with a detail that I hadn't recalled or taken notes on originally. I've also used Gong to share customer issues with our support team, allowing them to more quickly diagnose an issue rather than having a customer jump on a call again.

I use Gong every day in my customer conversations. It allows me to quickly and easily understand the back and forth I am spending with clients and whether I am being the active listener my management encourages me to be. If I struggle to recall key points or followup my call, I can easily refer back to my conversations as well

  • Allows the ability to share your call easily either internally or with your customer
  • Being able to more easily find and reference certain parts of your conversation to call back to
  • Letting you know that your recording is now available
It should be leveraged for every sales or customer service department to help educate and teach your team members. This is a superb tool to allow for true accountability and coaching when it comes to client conversations. I don't think every follow-up call needs a recording but when you are in a sales motion or an important setup conversation with a client every can value a recording

I use Gong to listen to how reps are pitching our product. It's also incredibly useful to record myself on calls with users so that I can listen back and take more detailed notes. While we originally implemented Gong for our sales team to do call breakdowns we have slowly been introducing it to more parts of the organization to listen in on customer insights.

I've never used a different sales enablement tool but Gong. It just does what I need it to do. From a sales perspective, the most important feature is recording and transcribing. Their implementation of this feature is great. As a product manager, I use Gong to listen to calls and note down where I hear different USPs. I also use it to feed insights to our product marketing team and our designers.
