I use monday.com to manage creative projects like web, email, and social graphics. monday.com is a great way to review work and manage high-priority projects while keeping all communication in one place.
  • Timelines and deadlines
  • Communication
  • Organize projects in a way that are easy to manage.
  • Make a more simple layout
monday.com is great for large projects involving feedback and communication but is probably unnecessary for small projects or businesses.

Used it for both Commercialization, product readiness and short & long term road map planning. One of the biggest business problems that Monday.com addresses is engaging all stakeholders in the readiness of products. Monday.com helped organize weekly readiness calls, while keeping the project on track for launch and holding stakeholders accountable for assigned tasks.
  • Ease of use
  • project planning
  • product roadmap planning with multiple widgets to select from
  • Exporting of Gantt charts for PowerPoint Presentations
  • Easier integration needed with Microsoft Azure ADO
  • Date Completion versus Due Date versus Completion Status - The completion status was often wrong, even though the project was completed by the due date. Seems to have corrected itself over time. So maybe there was an issue (bug) that was fixed.
I think it is great for many of the following areas: High level roadmaps, Commercialization, Product Readiness and Project Planning. It depends on what the needs are of a person, but any of the areas I mentioned would be a great reason to use Monday.com. There are so many more features that I did not use.

There are so many features to use, I have set up monday.com to help collect my ideas, track my business progress, and prepare information so that new employees will be able to access only the information I want to see. monday.com has helped me organize my brain as I evolve my fitness business.
  • My notes or comments are turned into notifications that appear on my phone which help me stay on track for the day.
  • monday.com is autosaving so I don't lose information when I exit the app.
  • monday.com provides more features then I need, so as my business expands, I'm learning new tools to better serve my business.
  • Integrations with so many other apps.
  • It's hard to suggest room for improvement, I've been able to find everything I need and more than I need within this service.
monday.com is well suited for managing all of your thoughts, plans, and information. Then, the ability to add on team members will become valuable for me. I'm not sure where this service would be less appropriate.

onboarding doctors, tracking state and federal licenses, working through large projects, storing data, creating timelines, mapping, communication, integrating work with other softwares, automating processes, sharing information company wide, importing/ exporting, organizing spreadsheets, CRMs, marketing & events planning
  • allows us to set automations, which cuts out a lot of work and ensures people are notified when they're able to start their part of the project
  • easy to organize views
  • share data cross company
  • a great calendar system would be enormously helpful
  • dates, such as anniversaries, can't be set to auto repeat yearly in automations
  • hubspot integration malfunctions if more than one integration recipe is set up
I absolutely love monday.com and I'm sure they're going to have any kinks I mentioned fixed expeditiously, if it isn't an error on my end already. Extremely helpful support staff. working my projects in here is a dream.

We use it mainly for sales to keep the process connected and to ensure that we maintain an effective, accurate and fast turnaround to our clients. We want to role this out to marketing, accounts and production as we get more familiar with the software.
  • Links information groups
  • Easy analysis
  • Very adaptable
  • Flexible in use
  • Having relatable real life examples of how to set monday.com up. As a new user it can be daunting to set up and use it properly and you are constantly concerned about developing a path that takes weeks/months only to find there's a better way.
  • The intuitiveness can fall short sometimes. I spent a morning recently trying to find the email settings to update an HTML email signature. I just couldn't see the logic for how you would find it without having someone to guide you sometimes.
We don't know for sure, because we haven't done it yet, that monday.com will prove ideal for connecting all of our business departments. We've started with just the Sales department, but our aim is to add finance, production, design and service support so that we can create a connected community that has a common and consistent level of information exchange that avoids repeating data entry.

I absolutely love Monday.com. The ease of use, organization, automation, & overall quality is amazing. I highly recommend it to any team looking to get their project management in 1 place. We've been using it for just about 1 year now and have found we've been able to keep track of all tasks and their assigned team member very easily. Creating separate client and internal boards has also improved our client retention

We use Monday.com for all our business tasks. The biggest problem was the company was growing by leaps and bounds, but did not have infrastructure to support it. Tasks were being assigned in voice messages via Slack and it was getting impossible to prioritize tasks and projects without a solid task management system. This created an environment where everything was urgent all the time.
  • Manage tasks across multiple projects and people seamlessly
  • Houses team member routines and workflows so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Keeps communication clear as it's all done within the item updates
  • Weekly team meetings are hosted in Monday so that tasks can be assigned on the spot
  • The forms can get hard to work around: one form per board, scrolling feature in the description doesn't look like it scrolls until you click, so customer facing details could be hidden.
  • Would be nice to have recurring tasks for routine items (Asana does this well)
  • I would love to have a Monday "course" for my new team members to go through upon onboarding. Everything we have right now, I made and it feels janky. Plus, Monday updates features frequently so it would be nice to have y'all own that training bit so it stays relevant. Then we could even have old team members do a quarterly refresh.
Monday.com is well suited for anyone. I personally believe we're in an age where a paper to do list just doesn't cut it any more. From the stay at home mama to the rocket scientist on the ISS, a clean and organized task management system is needed for the daily grind. Our brains are great at reminding us we need to do something, but not always at the best time. (Ex: finally lay down at night and remember you needed to get some files to your CPA.) Monday.com is a great place to plop all these tasks swimming in our heads so we are reminded to complete them at the appropriate time.

My company currently uses Monday.com to manage all our full marketing content schedule, including email, blogs, events and more. This product helps each member of the team know what tasks they are responsible for and keep track of due dates so we are able to prioritize.
  • User friendly interface
  • Quick and helpful customer service
  • Continual improvement of the product
  • Short webinar sessions on individual new features vs the long update recap
  • Most of the time the Loom videos work well but would like to be able to access live support at times
  • Regular check ins with an account manager
I can't think of a use cases where Monday.com wouldn't be able to work. After the success with my Marketing team, two other departments have adopted the tool (Product and Business Development). If you have line items that need to be organized, Monday can do it!

We use Monday.com to track our sales process from start to finish and to maintain communication within our company regarding changes made or status updates on our projects. We are all working remote and Monday.com allows us to stay on top of changes and updates. We also use Monday.com to track our commissions and compare our sales monthly and annually. Having a step-by-step process in Monday.com has helped us to streamline our process and be more efficient. Nothing slips through the cracks, and this helps us to retain our clients and saves us time and money.
  • Tracks the sales process, step by step process visually allows each team member to follow along and step in or out of projects without getting lost.
  • Allows us to set automations that allow our accounting department to track our commissions and revenue without redundant data entry
  • Time management - Each client / task is tracked so no one is left waiting for a response or forgotten about. It offers a visual reminder for what tasks need to be completed.
  • It would be nice to have phone support / chat support with a live person. Sending an email and awaiting a response seems antiquated.
  • Less down time. Every now and then Monday will glitch or not work. Automations sometimes wont process.
  • Would be helpful to have a built-in assistant/ advisor/point of contact at Monday.com for testing automations via live chat or call
I love this product. It has been a game changer for how I operate my sales process and I am grateful for all of the useful features, automations and integrations. I am hopeful that over time they add in more support, like a chat or live support person. I have recommended this product to many business owners because it helps to create organization and processes that are important. Overall this is a great product that I will continue to utilize for my team to stay on track.

My team works remotely and travels often. Monday.com brings all together on an as-needed basis. It has organized my disorganization and has made us all more productive and effective in our work which trickles down to our profit margin in a positive way. I can't imagine not using Monday.com these days. The old way does not work!
  • Shared calendar
  • Tasks that can be assigned with clear direction and a deadline
  • Work can be viewed by team member of by client
  • Dashboard can be confusing sometimes - would love widgets that I can use to open up from dashboard view
Monday.com thinks and performs like a true project manager. It makes my role as a team manager easier to communicate and assign tasks and deadlines. All our files, notes, and graphics are in one place. We can respond on our own time and keep the momentum moving forward. With so many of our team members working remotely, the Monday.com tool brings us together in one place. I can easily look at a project and update a client on progress within a few keystrokes. The tool is a key part of my business and can be used internally with my team and externally with my clients.

We use Monday.com as a full blown CRM as well as a project management tool, an event management tool, and a logistics/supply chain tool. We are a small business that needs to consolidate information and spend wisely on products that can deliver quality benefits with close integration to other programs (outlook, zoom, etc) without complicated or custom-coded connections. We also need flexibility as we are creating new products and new processes to go with them, and can't be limited by our CRM or inventory management.
  • Adaptable to any kind of B2B or B2B2C configuration
  • Frequent non-disruptive updates improve benefits without derailing current processes
  • Training and a wealth of useful how-to videos are easy to find online
  • Colorful, intuitive, adaptable interface with only a few mystifying features
  • Automations are tied to the users who create them, so they may need to be re-created due to turnover or role changes
  • Connection to Excel is messy - either 1 group at a time or an entire board, and you'll need to tweak it a lot on the excel side once it's there - needs a .csv/plaintext simple export
  • Not trivial to connect to a web form that can intake website leads, which seems like it should be a more core functionality
Small businesses with a lot of moving parts can easily be unified and boosted by implementing Monday.com. It combines the features of a spreadsheet, database, document manager, playbook, project manager, and others into one interface that requires no programming to customize deeply. Definitely adapts to existing business rather than demanding a change to adapt the business to the CRM. It used to be a toy but it has definitely grown up.

We use monday.com for to-do lists, to have one place to store the company and client credentials, assign tasks to employees and contractors, etc. We also use it to keep track of the amount of time we spend on each client and KPI tracking. I just love it and I highly recommend this product. monday.com helps me to stay on top of things and it's a way to have everything organized on one platform.
  • Time tracking
  • Multiple project boards
  • I have nothing to complain about

monday.com creates so many efficiencies! I primarily use monday.com for event planning and logistics. I'm able to have full (controlled) transparency with my team, departments, and third-party committees. This has saved me HOURS of work. I've only scratched the surface of automation but letting those do the work for me saves so many check-ins and chasing of team members for progress updates. The "to-do" lists also provide a very accountable and accurate scope of work at any given time.
  • Collaboration between teams, departments and third-party vendors (guests)
  • Efficiencies in automations and mirrored content
  • Intuitive to use and plenty of guided resources to assist along the way.
  • Templates, templates, templates - super easy to get started!
  • Document collaboration - the internal editing and collaboration tools is a bit limited.
  • Being able to duplicate entire workspaces or folders instead of individual boards/docs
  • An internal "all staff" chat for broadcasting messages to all users instead of per project.
Well-suited for customized and repeated projects. Example: Events. We hold 8 - 10 events a year. With Monday.com replicating the core structure from one event to another has been a huge time saver. I can set up an entire event structure and workspace in less than 4 hours - previously it would take 2 - 3 days. We also work with volunteer committees and third-party vendors. Sharing and collaborating on information is seamless and avoids stale working documents and tracking multiple versions of content.

We are an electrical contractor that had outgrown our old systems that, include magnet boards and different Google Calendars. We needed a scheduling system that was flexible and could be tailored to fit our already-proven workflow processes. I looked at a few other options but found monday.com to be easy to use to mimic our processes and have had no problems making it our own. We use this to centralize scheduling and operations of work on some 300 projects at a time at one stage or another, and we are now adding in service schedules and finding ways to avoid losing billable hours or losing service requests.
  • Flexible enough to fit our processes rather than making us change what we are familiar with.
  • Remote access... whether on a PC or a mobile device, it is accessible anywhere. This would have been a great thing to adopt at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic.
  • If things change, or if we come up with new ideas, we can add them to our workflow rather than find out we need to start over!
  • We have been using monday.com for less than a year now, and it has replaced the systems that we created and changed over the last 17 years. I don't think our old systems would have held up much longer.
  • The mobile app sometimes gets glitchy when our field managers are on the go. Sometimes, filters they have set in their app, cancel out or change to filters of other managers.
  • There are times that monday.com loads faster, and there are times that it loads slower... I'm not sure if that is network congestion at our end or at monday.com's end. It could be either.
  • I would like to be able to share connected boards "publicly" with our production crews. Unfortunately, it seems that if the info is shared/connected/mirrored from a board that is not openly accessible "publicly," it isn't viewable. I'm still working on this and have not given up but not sure we are at a point where we need an Enterprise account.
I've found monday.com to be a great fit for an electrical contractor with 50+ employees. I have had discussions with other subcontractors that we work alongside with about the benefits we have found and suggested they look into this.

We use monday.com to track progress of current projects, keeping track of hour estimates, hours used, hours remaining and hours over or under when a task is completed. We use it to keep make sure our employees are not overworked but still billable on projects as much as possible.
  • Hour tracking
  • Tasks complete vs due date
  • Integration with Slack to make sure nothing is forgotten and everyone is communicating
  • Create an easy way to block out days off (Holidays or PTO requests)
  • Make a way for dashboards to be locked so you don't accidentally move tasks
Job and task management are awesome and intuitively designed. I could see where things can get very confusing with more employees and more people to track.

monday.com came to clarify our processes and flows and ensure we were not missing any steps. The integration with forms and complex automation possibilities allowed us to create boards that reduced the time of processes in half, drastically increasing efficiency and the quality of work for the employees.
  • automated flows to communicate between teams
  • automated flows to communicate with external parties
  • forms integrated with boards that easily turn into insightful statistics
  • Performance: bugs and moments of system down are still quite recurrent
  • Connected boards columns can be tricky if you have the columns set previously, I can't change, for example, to a two-way connection
  • Mirrored columns still not work with all functionalities
For CRM, although the platform is evolving, I believe there is still a long way to go to be a solid solution. (which will be great) As for process management and internal communication, it is absolutely amazing.

We use monday.com as our Customer Relations Manager. It is used on a daily basis to track calendar management and client management. It is also used on a weekly basis to review weekly and monthly stats for the company. There is a lot of great information on monday.com and there are so many things you can do once you get to know the system. The only setback I see in using monday.com is internal automation (I wish you could allow certain actions on Monday to trigger other actions). Though, they do a wonderful job incorporating external modifications (although I wish there were a few more automation that could be set in place for email campaign systems- such as Active Campaign).
  • Client management is made easy. You can store and update client information as needed, you can insert documents associated with each client, and you can organize client data to better suit your daily needs. There are many modifications and customization options for CRM.
  • Weekly/Monthly/Daily Stats: monday.com allows you to organize data under different "tables". These tables can help you identify your stats for any period of time and are very helpful in deciding the next steps.
  • Administrative Task Management: monday.com can also act as a to-do list for your company to collaborate on (each person can have an individual account, but teams can be set up for them to collab on). It also allows us to organize hiring processes and human resources information.
  • Internal Automations: There should be a little more availability to trigger actions within monday.com itself. For example, it would help tremendously for us to be able to set up a date when clients are automatically transferred into a new board or group.
  • Expand on External Modifications: monday.com has recently focused on the aesthetics/look of the application, but I would rather they began focusing on how monday.com operates with other applications. We have a email campaign system (Active Campaign), that does a beautiful job of integrating apps, but monday.com is very limited on their external automation availabilities with campaign systems. Not sure if this would apply to many other business models, but as a CRM- I can see this being beneficial.
  • Limiting Access within Boards: monday.com has recently added a limited access to specific boards, but I would love if this feature expanded to where certain team members could only view a board rather than edit it (It is possible that this is available for a higher subscription and we simply do not have access to it at this time).
Just to reiterate my previous points, monday.com is a wonderful system for CRM specifically. I've also made the argument throughout this review that it is beneficial for things like Human Resources and Administrative Tasks as well, but its strengths lie within its CRM capabilities. There are multiple areas that I could elaborate on where Monday is not very useful, but monday.com was not built for those things- so that is an unfair judgment to make. Overall, I think it's a great CRM tool.

As a Project Manager, I use Monday.com to structure my project timelines and status updates. This structure is consistent across all Project Management teams to simplify how to share status updates with our internal partners and to set a best practice for managing a project in the department.
  • Boards relationships: We maintain different Monday Boards that contain different levels of granularity of our projects (depending on the audience) and we use the functionality to share items across Boards which reduces the maintenance effort of individual Boards.
  • User experience: Generally, Monday.com is easy to use, and navigating through Board to sub-items and reviewing status updates/related content is done with low effort.
  • Marketing and Product Marketing: Monday.com's messaging on the company purpose is very clear. I also enjoy how digestible learning content is on new features - I often do not need to reach out to Support for assistance.
  • Video recording support: I communicate with video to demonstrate project changes, it would be great if I could embed video more prominently for internal partners to view.
Our Monday Boards are open for internal partners to view timelines and statuses. As we have a consistent structure and update process, the content is digestible and dynamic which means internal reporting and updates are streamlined and quicker than typical emails sent out.

We use monday.com for digital project management, in the production of brochure websites and ecommerce solutions for clients. monday.com makes it incredibly simple to get started quickly and produce a roadmap of categorised tasks. We can easily work with the content and use formulas to customise data. We can share the data with ease. Monday.com has the wow factor that clients love. Being able to visualise the roadmap gives clients the confidence to proceed with with clarity.
  • The user experience is exactly what you'd expect for speed and accuracy.
  • Easily share roadmaps and tasks with clients and team members.
  • Allow the use of formulas to customise and display insightful data.
  • the Full screen view on the Gantt view is not very useful, as it the header takes up almost the same amount of real estate. The blank footer takes up loads of space. It is much needed for the full screen view to be more useful and display more tasks in the height available.
  • It'd be quite useful if Shift-Enter would allow you to create a new item in the row below the item you are on when pressing the keys.
monday.com is well suited for managing any project, from web design to construction! It easily allows team members to join, view and engage with the project items. It is better suited for larger projects, and costly for smaller projects with smaller team members. Little training is required for any user to easily get started and quickly become proficient with the software.

We use monday.com for sprint planning and the main taskboard across many teams.
  • Real time updates
  • Easy to use interface
  • Flexible
  • Allow rich text in task descriptions and let the description be the first thing we see. It's currently hidden behind some tab, so we use the "updates" tab as the description as an alternative, because it supports rich text & formatting.
It's a good alternative for Asana or Jira. Use it to organize your day to day tasks and project-related communications.

We use monday.com across two departments at the moment: Marketing and Business Development. Marketing originally brought it on to create a project management platform for open team transparency of workload and creating a repository of completed assets for reporting. We have become more comfortable with the abilities and are working on creating a marketing project request system, and implementing that across the firm to streamline processes, automate workflows and thus, increase work efficiencies. We see great potential for this product across our other operational functions and continue to share that value proposition to other departments. The capabilities make this easy for any company in any industry and is customizable without the complexities of typical customizable tools.
  • Surveys and Forms via the "Forms" function: Creating surveys (anonymous or not) and forms (with or without required fields) for data collection that automatically organizes the inputs in columns that are easy to export to excel.
  • Automations: You can build in reminders, via text or email, to individuals at any frequency. You can literally build out an entire workflow through automations. While it may take some thought and a little time on the forefront, the efficiencies it builds in over time is quickly made up.
  • File housing / control: There's a "file" capability that allows you to attach a file to a line item, which helps with the most recent file housed in one place where the current status or updated date column can be notated alongside it. Again, truly customizable to your business need.
  • Communication: There are many ways to openly communicate and "ping" but you can also build in automated reminders that are customized messages based on the specific project/need. So it's not your typical canned "monday.com reminder, click here for more," it's "-- Kelly needs your feedback on by EOD today. Please update status to "reviewed" when completed." Little things like this go a LONG way when you're targeting a specific audience for a precise need.
  • File management. They have a files column, which is GREAT, but it'd be great to see upload date of each file and be able to change the file name in monday.com for optimal version control.
  • Adobe Product integration is limited to FinalCutPro and Illustrator, I believe? It would be ideal for them to roll it out to the entire suite, but I presume that's on the horizon.
  • The lack of customer / client support at the onset was disappointing. Because we were a five-person team testing the product (makes sense why they didn't assign an account manager to us), it took us a full year to learn the tool in order to value prop it to the firm. We were continually directed to videos and general orientations that often didn't meet our operational need. That being said, there are A LOT of resources ranging from videos to blogs to support the majority of the needs/asks, so we figured it out.
  • I believe my inabilities are based on the subscription I have so I unfortunately can't complain about monday.com here. They are one of the few organizations I have noticed that know who to partner with and how, and stay on top of how to amplify their product to the next level to stay competitive with the market needs, which is insanely impressive considering its industry-agnostic nature.
It's a one stop shop kinda product that bridges multiple product offerings and is very user friendly. I don't see any business operation functionally being able to say "this cannot help any need of mine." This is perfect for people who are organization freaks that benefit from efficient processes and seamless workflows. If you thrive on inefficiencies and low production, this isn't for you. It certainly supports/prompts optimal production.

We use it as a project management tool, which glues together our department and company as well predominantly have a remote workforce. The tool is used to breakdown of company OKRs to dpartments to the level of individual team members. It helps us to keep track of initiatives and how we are running to reach our objectives. Also listed dependencies and thereby looping in colleagues to work on topics in collaboration.
  • Ease to work with
  • Clear dashboards
  • Feeling of control (receiving notifications in time etc)
Great solution for a company with a remote workforce. Really ties our +75 team together as it allows to keep track of company objectives down to individual contributions, roadmaps of projects and initiatives, dependencies with others in the organization, etc

We use monday.com to manage our R&D projects. It helps keep the team focused on our targets and goals and is a very useful tool in planning the tasks to be done during a set time frame. The software also helps track delayed tasks and provides data on how the team/projects are running at a glance.
  • Keeping all projects organised
  • Managing teams
  • Monitoring progress
  • Keeping track of delayed tasks
  • Data filtering on dashboards
  • More subelement freedom
  • Document management improvement and database on the platform
monday.com software is very well suited for a lot of applications because of its sandbox structure which makes it extremely adjustable and flexible. Most of these types of software have been designed targeting the tech/software industry in mind. However, the work management platform has proved to be very useful in any kind of project management environment.

For more complex projects in the industrial environment, maybe it lacks the kind of structure needed where the work is more document based and where an independent database is needed to navigate through the different documents.

We are a 100% digital company, so we work online from different parts of the country, we needed a management tool that would allow us to have absolute control of the administration, and with monday.com, we found it. It allows us to have a general vision of the company and of each project; in addition, having external collaborators gives us the certainty of the workload of each one of us and, in this way, makes the necessary projections. Now that we use monday.com, we are so much more organized, and our level of production has increased.

Project management is much simpler and allows you to have greater control over each resource, both human, financial, and technological. This also allows you to have greater control over budgets. The graphics and panels it offers, in addition to the overview, are the perfect tool to stay organized.
