Reviews
(126-150 of 452)Automation made easy
- Ease of use
- Learning made simple with the Academy
- Great support team that gets back to you quickly
- On boarding process where someone from Hubspot checks in with you weekly for the first month or so
- The only issue I have is trying to switch over to the COS for my web hosting. It may be an issue with my current DNS and previous hosting site, but I have been trying (with help from an outside IT company) to switch over for about a month now and haven't been able to.
HubSpot. A tool for the future of CRM.
- Hubspot is an excellent tool for marketing automation.
- The forms and landing pages tools are very intuitive and even a simpleton like me can use it.
- I like the "trello" feel of the deals.
- List management could use some more work. I need more "And Or" options, not just filters.
- I wish I could manage deal fields using contact fields and vice versa in workflows.
Lovin' It
- Workflow management
- Social media monitoring
- Only issue I've seen is some bugs with the social APIs (e.g. posts either delayed or unable to schedule). However, the customer service team are always on point and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Workflows and Lead qualification
- Tying web metrics to actual leads and closed sales
- Automation
- Does not have native search capability for COS. Makes you use Google search for website which is not optimal.
- Creating CTA and landing page start to finish is cumbersome. They have made improvements, but still need to have that flow better.
- Better reporting should be included for the cost, which is reasonable, but not cheap. Advanced reporting add-on is overpriced and should have been included in the first place. Not upgrading as a matter of principle.
- Website development - easy to use templates, modules, and editors to develop modern and functional websites.
- Blogging, email, content publishing - it provides every level of content development needed from in-line editing, personalization, SEO optimization/suggestions, and scheduling.
- I currently don't have a con to report, but when I have had a complaint or issue, their support staff has been extremely accessible, friendly and curious to find solutions or embrace critique to make changes.
- Hubspot makes it incredibly easy to market. From social media marketing, to email marketing, to blogging, to everything in between, Hubspot's interface is easy to use and consistent. Even if you don't know anything about marketing, you can learn through the Hubspot Academy.
- That brings me to my second point, the Hubspot Academy. The Academy hosts a plethora of information, from tips and tricks, to tutorials, to projects you can use to improve and strengthen your business. It has been an invaluable tool for our business and we use it on a daily basis.
- The Customer Support. Hands down, amazing. I have never felt bad when I called, the customer support always helps me beyond what I was hoping for. They are easy to reach, fast, and always friendly. They take time with you too, instead of trying to get you off the phone.
- Social media can sometimes be hard to use, simply because there are things that the platform can't do yet. But I have hope for the future!
- Update May 2017: Hubspot has been adding newer developments and integrations consistently. This is making Hubspot even more powerful.
- Every so often, HubSpot analytics will be down. This is hard to deal with, but they always get it fixed fast.
Better Together. The Tale of HubSpot and Me.
- Creating and editing emails and landing pages content. Their new editor is a lot easier to use and simpler than a lot of other editors I've used.
- Managing contacts and smart lists. We're able to quickly find and segment contacts as well as change the info.
- HubSpot integrates with Salesforce really well. There's little to no lag time.
- Onboarding is a breeze. They take you through every step in the process and give hold your hand during the entire process.
- HubSpot has a sales CRM that has business calling. However, it's not as tightly integrated with contacts and workflows as it could be. For example, you can't add that you called a contact or need to in a workflow. Also you can't use the smart lists on the marketing side to create call lists automatically.
- There's no way for account admins to make changes to the individual settings of an account holder. Sometimes a member of our sales team will need to change their settings, and it would be easier if I could go in directly and do so. Rather, I have to walk them through how to do it or go over to them and have them login to get access.
- There are some restrictions on design elements that make it harder to keep a consistent look with our overall brand image. For example, while there are social sharing options, there's no way to change out the style and icons used for social sharing elements in emails and landing pages.
- The CRM aspect was amazingly well organized and easy to navigate. It amazed me to enter the information I had on a contact then watch additional information appear on its own and fill the contact out far more than what I provided!
- Emails! From free to paid templates and anything your developers can cook up, HubSpot makes beautiful emails. Our developers loved it and were impressed with how easy it was to use as well.
- With beautiful emails comes (hopefully) great automation campaigns. Coming from Infusionsoft, the logical structure of HubSpots campaign builder was slightly less intuitive than Infusionsoft, but it was certainly easy enough to pick up quickly.
- The ability to define and assign customer lifecycle stages made all the difference in the world coming from Infusionsoft's botched CRM.
- Customer service was great. I worked with Raleigh on some basic setup directions and he answered all our questions.
- Hands down, the biggest con is the price tag. Obviously, HubSpot has their market and they do very well. However, the price is a big barrier for startups and small organizations or small teams. I operate my own business on the side and all I can afford at this early stage is HubSpot CRM (because it's free!).
- As with any automation software, you need a good developer or development team to build the infrastructure before you can get campaigns going. Define and assign all custom fields, connect analytics, social, etc. Once this is done, occasional tweaks from developers will keep things moving but from that point, the non-developer marketer can do their job smoothly.
- I honestly cannot think of any other cons. There is plenty of free support tools online as well as a staff willing to help.
- It's very clear for everybody. I like their UX and UI. Everybody can work in it.
- You don't need mailchimp, hootsuite,.... because you have everything in one place.
- HubSpot is very human. They help you in every step you need. You can approach everybody and that makes it so much more fun.
- Personalisation on TYP
- Multi-language
- Cross-linking through content types
SaaSy marketing automation for B2B
- A single place for everything - by coordinating all digital marketing tactics in the one dashboard the intelligence generated on customer interaction is accurate and easy to access. Comparative data compiled manually when using a variety of different tools would simply be too cumbersome to generate.
- The flexible workflow builder for lead nurturing programs gives us a lot of control and automates what would otherwise be a very time intensive and error prone activity.
- Personalisation and customisation - while there's no shortage of info and guidance on HubSpot's brand of inbound marketing, the tool is flexible enough to modify to our specific requirements
- I'd like to see some better integration with WordPress - for example, the plugin lets you create calls-to-action, but their performance doesn't appear to be reported in the dashboard.
- There's a wealth of resources in the forum, but the volume of activity means that questions can go unanswered.
Happy With HubSpot
- HubSpot is great for giving tips to make sure your content performs well.
- HubSpot offers multiple tools that work together great so that campaigns feel harmonious.
- It is definitely possible to find individual tools that have more features than each separate HubSpot tool individually, but the whole is also much greater than the sum of the parts.
- It can be difficult to find some features and settings, especially with new versions of old tools confusing things, but the HubSpot staff is always very helpful and willing to teach.
HubSpot is the only choice for us
- Email
- Customer Service
- Workflows
- Reports should not be an add-on
- Ads add-on need a lot of work
- Blogging: HubSpot's blogging component is extremely intuitive. Providing you with valuable SEO recommendations to make sure each post is optimized to its fullest potential. Not to mention it is extremely user friendly and affords a marketer of any skill level the luxury of publishing remarkable content.
- Email: HubSpot's emailing component is becoming more and more robust each day. With bigger and better analytics available, improving on your email marketing can be done rather easily. The emailing component is also extremely intuitive, making recommendations for the best time of day to send and works flawlessly as a marketing automation tool as well.
- Continuing Education: The HubSpot Academy team provides HubSpot customers with an incredible amount of resources, live webinars, on-demand trainings and even certifications, that would make any marketing executive confident to know that their team has all of the resources necessary to work independently within the HubSpot software and acquire new capabilities every day.
- HubSpot Support: The support at HubSpot is the best I have seen in any industry for any product or service. The support team there is always ready to answer questions and solve problems. And in the remote situation where they can't solve the problem right away, they will always, always, always call or email you back with their findings
- Advanced Reporting: I really don't have anything to include in this section of the review but the one item that comes to mind, and HubSpot has improved their capabilities over the years, is the advanced reporting options. Custom report types and advanced reporting are more likely than not only available in the Enterprise Edition of the software.
Inbound Marketing done efficiently.

- Inbound
- More analytics for Social Media. Right now, comprehensively, you got deeper detail for Twitter, but still need other platforms to track social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn or Google Plus. I'm not quite sure if this is currently possible, but it is highly recommendable.
- When it comes to business finance and management it would be great to have more content. It's not directly part of an inbound marketing tool, but if you compare with other content this bit isn't as good as the others.
AnswerHub has been using HubSpot for about a year to track web visits and leads. I have only been with a company a couple of months. However, I went through Inbound Marketing University six years ago, introduced and implemented HubSpot at a previous employer and used it for my own consulting practice. I have also evaluated at least a dozen marketing automation software programs and have recommended HubSpot to those companies for which I believe it to be the optimal solution.
- HubSpot does a great job of helping you drive awareness, traffic and SEO by coaching you on developing and optimizing blog content.
- HubSpot has a wonderful training program to teach you the fundamentals of inbound marketing and how to develop target personas, calls-to-action and landing pages that will increase your chances of success.
- HubSpot's support team is tremendous. They are almost always there when you need them. I don't think I've ever held more than a couple of minutes to speak to a customer success team member and I have always been pleased with the assistance I have received.
- As someone who does not have a programming background and took the time to learn the CMS, I was disappointed when they changed to the COS backend since I do not have time to learn a new backend.
- I do not see HubSpot scaling for large enterprises. I believe they are an appropriate solution for SMBs who are committed to content marketing versus lead gen and scoring.
- I have not used the HubSpot CRM, due to what it does to the cost of my personal basic plan. However, it integrates nicely with SalesForce where I use the enterprise version with my employer.
- Setting up forms and adding fields to forms is pretty straight forward.
- Creating static and dynamic lists is easy to do.
- The user interface workflow rule engine is also intuitive, despite having issues occasionally or the backend being a bit buggy.
- Their CRM integration, particularly with Salesforce, is abysmal. Truly horrible. I have logged so many cases with support to try to resolve. I have cases that are still open from 6 months ago. Their customer support is horrible. Their standard answer is that they need to check with their engineering team. In addition, their Hubspot intelligence section is bad and never populates with the relevant Hubspot Activities due to the failed integration. Finally, I am not able to add a Lead/Contact in Salesforce to a Hubspot List as you can in other B2B Marketing solutions.
- As mentioned, customer support is horrible and completely non-apologetic! They don't seem to know much about their own product without having to contact their engineering team.
- Documentation is lacking. That said, you can mark their knowledge base articles as lacking/with a question and that team is very good about finding the answer and updating the article. Much more knowledgable than their customer support team.
Hubspot - All in one Marketing Platform
- Social media is easy and simple to use. I can manage different platforms in Hubspot. It also automatically generates reports on my social media channels so I can what is working.
- Campaign management is great, I can see what campaigns are performing well and make decisions quickly.
- Customer engagement and support is exceptional. Hubspot continue their relationship with you after you come on board as a customer. They are always there to help with a problem or be a sounding board.
- My only real suggestion is that some of the reports could use some more in-depth analysis.
HubSpot - the tool for marketing departments that wants to focus on creating amazing content and lead generation, not managing systems.
- Covers the entire circle: Identify, attract, convert, close, delight!
- Marketing automation with the simplest user interface I have ever worked with.
- Connects marketing and sales with marketing automation and CRM in one simple solution.
- Lets you understand all your conversions and focus your attention where you get the most back!
- Lead generation perfection - you will simply create, optimize and publish content so that you can create more leads.
- With the new AD add-on, HubSpot really became complete.
- CRM needs work still, especially with smaller deals in mind.
HubSpot suits you:
1. If you have a small marketing department and can't put time into big system implementations.
2. If you have a big marketing department, but no-one that is a system focused person. (as it should be).
3. If you want to focus on great content and the audience.
4. If you just love usability.
5. If you care about making more money, not just get more visitors.
HubSpot does not suit you if:
1. You don't have an endgame of getting more business.
2. If you like hacking and coding your own specific setups in systems.
Great option
- Business Development - Keeps track of leads, who you've spoken to, and who people have closed
- CRM - Great at keeping track of customers and their issues
- Wish there was more functionality in the CRM - for example, being able to keep track of and notify you when you haven't spoken to leads in a while, and having more intelligence there
HubSpot turns the gears of your marketing strategy.
- If you're doing any email marketing you should be segmenting your lists. For example, if you provide an offer for 6 months free membership, you don't want to keep emailing them after they've joined. HubSpot makes it easy to include a suppression list for future emails.
- Landing pages are the crown jewel of HubSpot. Use them to host offers and gate your content. Gather email addresses from anonymous website visitors and hand over new leads to your sales team.
- Optimize your emails with their tools. Get red flags to remind you of all the details you might forget.
- Their website page design is way easier to use than Wordpress.
- It does so many things it's hard to master them all. Thankfully they offer great education and support.
HubSpot Review

- Easy out of the box table formatting
Thank you HubSpot!

- Ease of Use

Hubspot Review
- Speeds up development
- Consolidates all the odds and ends into one easy to access place
- It is hard to do some more customizable code in HubSpot. We have found some "HubSpot hacks" that we use to our advantage, but making this a simpler process would be nice.
HubSpot Review
- HubSpot makes it easy to ensure that all our Blog content is optimized for SEO - it helps us with keywords, meta descriptions, CTAs, images, and more. With every blog that goes up, I'm confident it is as strong as it can be.
- HubSpot has helped us organize leads and contacts into lists so we can provide helpful and relatable information to nurture them along on the buying process and also see each client as a trustworthy, knowledgeable source.
- With HubSpot, we can track the success and shortcomings of eNewsletters. HubSpot helps with the setup process, gives sending guidelines (time, subject line, etc), and gives us a depth of information about who opens the emails, when, what they click, and more.
- It would be nice to be able to select a date range when checking the rank and success of keywords in the keyword reporting tool
- HubSpot sends great, thorough monthly reports for each of our client, but it'd be nice if we had the option to get the reports quarterly instead.
- Right now HubSpot Ads Add-On/Integration only works with LinkedIn and Google Adwords - so we're still using other resources for things like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- We'd love to see HubSpot find a way to use Instagram and be able to schedules posts like we can on other social channels.
HubSpot is ahead of the game.
- Makes developing content very easy - when creating a landing page, you can create a follow-up email to that landing page with one click of the button. You do not need to go in at a different time to create the email and then link it to the landing page.
- It is very easy to link content to pages that we create. Instead of having to put in the web address of each page we want to link, all you have to do is highlight the certain words you want linked and type in the name of the page and it pops up.
- It is great for workflows. You can create either simple or very complex workflows that can include whatever offers and content you desire.
- My main problem with HubSpot is their social media feature. Being that I focus on social media, it becomes a problem for me often. You cannot post to Google+ communities, or LinkedIn communities from the platform. In order to interact with them you need to go directly to those pages off of HubSpot.
