We currently use Outreach for the majority of our targeted communication to both prospects and current customers. We currently use it across our entire Sales organization with great success. Outreach allows us to create tailored messaging for prospects without having to tediously send messages one by one. It allows us to scale our communication so we can be more effective with our time.
  • It allows us to track prospect engagement, which is very helpful to better understand who to target and prioritize.
  • Creating sequences, including dynamic fields, is extremely easy, which cuts down on wasted time trying to figure out the intricacies of the system.
  • Outreach makes calling many people in a row simple, which allows the user to cover more ground in less time when compared to other dialers or just dialing manually.
  • Having the ability to see how many times an email has been viewed is very helpful, but it would be phenomenal if we could see view duration, as that shows even more of the story than just number of views.
  • The user interface for the analytics could be a bit easier to access and mine for information, as I sometimes feel that I'm aimlessly searching for the information I'm looking for.
  • Having some form of push notifications for super high priority items (items that I have deemed important) would be nice. Perhaps this already exists?
Outreach is great for targeting a large audience, but still being able to maintain a level of personal touch that you would want when reaching out to prospects individually. Outreach isn't as good at gathering behavioral data that can lead to better targeting and more strategic use of time.

Outreach Review!

Outreach is being used by our entire sales organization which includes business development reps, inbound lead reps, and account executives.
  • Sequences and templates are easy to use and a life saver for reaching out to many contacts every day.
  • Integration with Gmail is seamless and very helpful.
  • Insight into open rates and the live feed is extremely helpful as well.
  • Integration with Linkedin and Salesforce was great when I began using it (June 2017) but has since become very glitchy. Its quite tedious to bring in information from LinkedIn. Additionally, when using Outreach everywhere with SFDC, about 50% of the time Outreach will say the contact is not in Outreach "would you like to import it"? When I click yes it then says this contact already exists in Outreach. This isn't terrible but when you're reaching out to 20-50 people per day it's a huge time drain.
Outreach is great for setting up email/call sequences and campaigns to prospects and existing customers.

It is being used by the entire organization. It assists us in emailing contacts.
  • Emails large numbers of contacts quickly.
  • Efficient
  • Easy to use
  • Can be tricky to find specific contacts
  • A lot of tabs in specific areas
Formatting templates to send out to contacts are very helpful. It can get tricky to keep up with all your templates at times.

We use it across the entire sales team to help with cold outreach as well as nurturing and follow up.
  • The volume of activities and the ability to work an account with a single view to compile notes to ensure you are being targeted in your approach.
  • Organization of your day, separation of calls and emails to ensure efficiency on my BDR team. Filterability to ensure we are hitting people at the right times.
  • Support, it is extremely difficult to get any answers from their team and we get left in the dark as to when things will get fixed.
  • When you try to click around in other screens it will delete your emails and make you start over as of the past 2 months with no end in sight.
Throughout my time using outreach I have always loved the endless capabilities of structuring my day as I have a bunch of calls in between the time I have to prospects. We need some help on the support side as of the past couple of months.

Outreach is currently being used by our inside sales team as a tool to help increase our conversion rate for inbound leads. A big value-add that Outreach has brought is the ability to measure metrics on the effectiveness of emails. We can see when prospects open them, click on links, etc. Furthermore, it allows us to create templates and sequences which expedite our outreach process to prospects. Currently, it is only used by our inside sales team.
  • Creating templates or sequences that can put a prospect through.. this automates the process and makes us more efficient.
  • Allows us to see when prospects have read emails which indicates a possible good time to reach out over the phone.
  • Outreach allows me to send bulk emails to prospects at the same firm while still allowing each email to be tailored to the particular person. LOVE this function.
  • The scheduling of when to send emails. It is confusing and often times when you try to remove the schedule to send, you have to do it twice.
  • Problems with random logging out of Outreach... seems to happen once every two weeks.
  • Setting up Outreach so it automatically integrates all Salesforce contacts and there is no need to manually add to Outreach.
Outreach is a tool that works incredibly well with sales and account management. With sales it allows you to stay in front of every prospect and ensure you can convert as many prospects as possible. With account management, it serves as an incredible organization tool and keeps you up to date with informing your current clients and identifying scenarios or opportunities when there is a chance for an up or cross-sell of products or solutions.

Outreach is being used throughout our whole sales organization. Personally I use Outreach to send out customized emails at scale for the territory I cover. Outreach is useful to help gauge interest levels, analyze trends with A/B splits, and work efficiently.
  • Analytics. Being able to test with A/B splits.
  • Generate quality emails while hitting large quantities.
  • User friendly. Simple to use.
  • Maybe a more simple overview slide.
  • An easier user interface for analytics. More on how to access them versus using them.
It is great for business development roles specifically. Outreach is sometimes abused to automate a sales role, but with that being said, that is subjective to my opinion.

We use Outreach to engage with prospects from when they inquire about our integration solutions to when we need to do some outbound work to specific personas. I can't tell you how valuable the tool is. Because of Outreach I am organized and I know exactly how many touch points and when it's time to move on to other opportunities. The 360° view helps me keep in mind what is of high priority, normal, and low, which helps me never skip a beat with my prospects.
  • Organization
  • Consistency with prospects
  • Improvement in workflow
  • I can't think of any...
If you're an AE, BDR, SDR, CSM...you'd benefit from the Outreach platform for engagement purposes, especially if you have a high client/lead mix. The other thing is, managing calls and emails is a breeze with Outreach.

We used Outreach on our small team of 8. We combine the normal activities of an SDR team with a standard Account Executive to provide a premium welcome service for attorneys who are new to Avvo. Outreach addressed email templating, automating our workflows, and assigning call tasks. Our dept. head decided not to purchase after a trial, but I'm hoping we can revisit the situation in the near future since this could have to do with our acquisition.
  • Automating emails
  • Using data from SF in email templates
  • Drip campaigns
  • Creating call tasks to follow up on emails or vice versa through sequences
  • Variables = should have some sort of type conversion, or ability to process boolean logic on custom vars.
  • Documentation - much of the documentation is missing or inaccurate. Some fields are floating points, but documentation shows integers. E.g. docs would show "0" but the technique would only work with "0.0"
Great for: SDR teams, 1 off sales campaigns, re-qualifying leads.

Less well suited for: traditional sales activities. Would be great, but requires a significant amount of content, creation, moderation, etc.

I use it as a sales/account manager to reach out to clients for renewal and off-cycle opportunities.
  • I like knowing when clients open my emails
  • I love being able to schedule emails to send out
  • Love being able to set a sequence so my follow up is taken care of
  • It's frustrating seeing my email has been opened but not knowing WHO opened it when I sent it to multiple people.
  • It's annoying that I can't send a sequence to multiple people on one email, i.e. I have 2 contacts at a company and I want to send it to both of them in one email so it is natural, as I would if I were sending it manually. If ONE of them responds, it should end the sequence. Currently, I'm limited to sending phony identical emails to both and risk the sequence continuing if one replies but the other doesn't, OR insulting them by leaving one contact out.
  • It's tough to navigate the pane with content per contact/email - emails are in a weird order and not user friendly. This has potential to be super useful but needs a UX makeover!
I use Outreach to keep companies engaged, send responses to questions I get often, set up meetings to discuss renewal, see when/if my emails to clients are opened.

Our whole sales org uses Outreach. It allows us to increase our volume of emails sent and calls made.
  • Call Down List
  • Showing what prospects have viewed our email
  • Allow emails sent in mass seem more personal with the use of customizable tokens
  • Sometimes the token does not populate in the preview mode
I think Outreach is always a great tool. It works best when you need to have a high volume of email and call activity.

Outreach has enabled my team to refine a smarter, cleaner cadence when prospecting through contacts and accounts in our Salesforce instance. We have built out customized sequences of intelligent email templates, individually for the different personas and use cases that we sell to. Embedded within those sequences are also dial prompts for our reps to make calls after and before they send out an email.

Not only is Outreach an effective solution for sending out thoughtful emails at a fast pace, but is also the best dialer solution I've used at any previous company.

Our BDRs have become so reliant on Outreach for their day to day processes, that we decided to acquire additional licenses and share the solution with our closing sales team as well. Early feedback is very positive.
  • Offers user-friendly but highly customizable user interface.
  • Easy to build email template system
  • Efficient dialer plug-in for Salesforce
  • Salesforce integration can be wonky and unreliable
  • Phone calls can drop or lose quality from time to time
  • New update autofills existing contact info from a previous Salesforce page, even when opening a new tab. Glitches like these pop up time to time.
A marketing or sales campaign wherein a product line or sales method is being implemented makes for a great Outreach use case.

For example, we hosted our own tech conference last summer. We needed our BDR team to execute on a series of marketing-built email templates within a certain stretch of time. We also needed to ensure that BDRs and Account Executives alike, were calling prospects in the area to offer an invitation to the event.

Outreach allowed us to build a cadence that made this possible, with very little effort from the reps.

Outreach is being used by the sales organization, both AEs and SDRs. It is being used to accelerate prospecting and "outreach" to build pipeline. It is nominally being used for reporting, metrics, trends, and A/B testing. Mostly it is being used to structure and execute pipeline building strategy.
  • Good user interface - easy to use
  • Insights in a single place to customize your Outreach message
  • Decent integration with Gmail and Salesforce.com
  • Gmail Integration doesn't always work (must refresh browser)
  • Not well positioned to support opportunity management automation
I would argue that Outreach has better ROI if the organization is more sophisticated (true owner, visibility over use, organization runs the admin work and user just executes sequences and messaging). The triggers and insights can definitely help guide the go-to market prospecting strategy. If the primary goal is just sequencing an SFDC integration, probably not worth the price vs. some competition.

Outreach is an essential tool for our sales team. It helps us to understand the most effective content and subject lines to send to prospective customers. It also takes a lot of the manual process of reaching out to people and gives us more time to focus on selling.

  • Helps me prioritize my day
  • Make it easier to switch users into different sequences

Outreach is being used by our Sales & Customer Success department. My involvement is on the sales side as a SDR. Before using Outreach, the company used Yesware but I really rallied for Outreach because I had used it in my previous role and loved it. It really helps us stay on top of the most important task as well as be as efficient without losing detail. We have noticed more success in our campaigns and better tracking results in better results.
  • Outreach is wonderful at prioritizing the most engaged prospects so that you can always strike while the iron is hot.
  • Outreach has a great support and Customer Success team that are ready to help and guide you through pretty much anything. You can easily take a screenshot of your issue and get help right away.
  • Makes you into a beast of a salesperson/rep with their calendar, dialing and email functionalities.
  • It could provide a smoother platform. It needs to be refreshed sometimes and can be laggy.
  • Sometimes the API limits can be lead to improper update of Salesforce record with the correct touches and status of prospect (engaged, nurture, rejected etc)
Outreach is well suited for any Sales representative looking for a to set the most appointments as efficiently as possible and also great for closing roles where you don't have an SDR for sourcing your own leads. It might not be best to use outreach in roles where you don't have low volume of daily tasks.

My organization uses Outreach as its main tool for contacting potential clients and current clients. It is used widely by our sales department including our VP of sales. We use this as a way to sequence potential clients into calls as well as emails. It helps keep track of our dials, emails, status of accounts and helps us update our Salesforce records as well. It also helps with keeping clients assigned to one sales rep so that they are not double, triple hit by multiple employees.
  • Sequenced emails that automatically sends. We use it to keep track of our emails and for our sales employees it helps us have company wide language that everyone can use.
  • Keeps track of our dials and activity so that management can see we are working.
  • Helps dial out of Salesforce which in return helps our productivity and work flow.
  • It crashes a bit which is frustrating while on calls.
  • Sometimes the calls do not get logged which in return makes us look less productive.
  • It doesn't tell us when an email is bad and we get bounced emails.
In a sales organization that has Salesforce it is a great tool to keep everyone organized, efficient and on task.

We use it as a communication tool to help broaden our scope of contacts we can reach out to.
  • Sequencing
  • Logging Calls
  • Giving Statistics
  • Ability to attach multiple people to a sequence in CC form.
  • Ability to finish multiple contacts from a sequence and add them to a new sequence on the same page. Right now if you finish the contacts from the sequence they disappear from the screen you are looking at and you have to go find them again.
Outreach is a great tool if you are looking at reaching out to many contacts and want the capability for the tool to keep track of the activity and what comes next for you. It has been nice to have. This tool can also be an organizing tool as well.

Our sales team of 20 uses Outreach. It helps to connect with our remote sales team and keep up with everything each individual rep is doing. It also simplifies our entire sales process.
  • Call tracking - You can view your entire sales team's call activity very easily
  • Email tracking - You can view your entire sales team's email activity
  • Email sequencing - Create custom sequences to ensure your sales process is consistent
  • The soft dialer - Ability to record calls depending on area code, the ability to block numbers altogether
  • Mobile app - Currently using outreach on a mobile device is not a good experience
If you need to create consistency with your existing large sales team or create automation, this is a great tool. It works well with Salesforce and finally with Google calendar. This tool is not designed for large-scale email campaigning. Outreach will make any sort of client/prospect facing more efficient.

Outreach is being used for both outbound prospecting and inbound lead nurture across our sales org.
  • Outreach is easy to use
  • It's the most powerful sales reach out tool
  • Continues to innovate and stay ahead in a highly saturated market
  • I'd like them to improve their voice functionality.
  • Better Gmail integration
  • Less throttling restrictions
I looked at a lot of email prospecting tools a few years ago when I was an SDR and Outreach was the most powerful and easiest to use.

We're using Outreach for our outbound outreach to targeted prospects within the inside sales team. It's addressing the problem of keeping the inside sales team, which I supervise, touching the prospect enough times with calls, emails and action items, in order to make the connection needed to obtain a meeting over the phone.
  • Organizing prospects with tags is a great way to keep people separate however you'd like.
  • Automatic emails with generic followups to reply to your original email and keep the touch points flowing.
  • Creating tasks and reminders within outreach to pop up on your home page the day they're due. No more stickys!
  • I'd like for it to have a calendar feature in which I can share my calendar with the prospect via email to coordinate meetings easier.
  • I'd like to be able to trigger off of call dispositions, and trigger actions based on how a call has ended.
  • I'd like an easier was to track positivity and negativity of email outcomes for statistical reports.
Outreach is very well suited for those that want to target their outreach to individual prospects, or a specific focus group, or even cast a wider net. For example, blasting emails for a marketing event your company is hosting, and then having auto emails followup til the day of the event is a use case we use it for.

It is being used by one department (sales) and it addresses outbound and inbound sales tasks, call, and email data. Inbound teams use templates and sequences to respond to leads, and outbound teams use it as a task manager to keep track of ABM marketing initiatives. Some AEs have access to Outreach still but do not lean on it as heavily as the prospecting and inbound teams.
  • Task management on a high level - keeping track of lots of people and seeing activity history
  • Email open rates and understanding location/timing of opens
  • Providing easy access to templates and sequences, especially creating your own.
  • Data manipulation and export: unable to export to excel to analyze data in-depth
  • Detailed task information, such as keeping notes on a prospect, editing tasks that are further than 1 day out, and easily exporting task reports to plan weekly work-flow
  • Dashboard call and email volumes are not correct or easy to understand - data doesn't seem to line up with what is actually being done (which might have to do with marking a task as complete)
  • The new export feature is a mess - it doesn't connect to Salesforce anymore and you have to do it in a new window.
It's well suited for templated or sequences emails, but harder to use as a task management tool for personalized outbound that doesn't rely on sequenced or bulk activity.

We use it as our CRM. It allows us to send emails on time and keep track of our sales tasks.
  • The best thing it does is create email sequences which end up saving you time. It also allows you to set up times to send emails.
  • It allows you keep track of both email and call tasks so you know how often you are contacting a lead.
  • It allows you to see when people open your emails so you know if they have seen them or if you should send them again.
  • It does not go well with Salesforce. It makes your task list extremely cluttered.
  • It is very slow.

Outreach.io is being used in sales across the company and is the standard tool to assist outbound sales. Outreach helps sales teams stay organized, learn about their prospects, keep in constant communication, and take control of their selling process. Outreach also helps us to collaborate with each other on our various selling processes and gather valuable feedback.
  • Outreach.io does a great job of making it clear where each prospect is in the selling process, and allows you to organize your time based on urgency and importance.
  • Outreach.io has a very smart email scheduling tool that allows you to make your reach outs feel personal and well-suited to your company's purpose, while still saving you time and helping you keep on top of your touch points.
  • Outreach.io offers features like templates and snippits that allow you to easily replicate messaging that you use frequently so that you do not waste time writing the same things over and over.
  • Outreach.io has great progress reporting, allowing you to see how successful an email sequence or template is. This helps you to make educated decisions on your messaging and what you should try next.
  • Outreach.io has a very interesting reporting tool that works well. It allows you to dig into different users, sequences, templates, send times ect. The only issue is that it is not dynamic or flexible right now, and therefore the options are limited to what they allow you to report on.
Outreach.io is a necessary tool for any organization that does inbound or outbound sales, and that does not have a tool in place to help manage touchpoints, email communication and daily tasks. Having a CRM was not enough for us, and Outreach has been a huge compliment to our process; saving us time and effort in almost every scenario. If you do not do any email reach outs or email prospecting whatsoever, this tool may not be as useful, however it still allows you to keep track of prospects and schedule times for phone calls and in-person meetings, so it could still be very effective. The value of being able to organize our time using Outreach has been almost immeasurable.

It's used heavily across the SDR team since they spend the majority of their time on outbound efforts. The account executive team will mostly use it if they are prospecting and some will use it for follow-ups or trying to reconnect with clients down the road. We've got a focus on growing our business, and it starts with getting enough meetings.
  • It takes time to craft the right messaging, but once you do it's a huge time save.
  • Outreach helps me tailor messaging quickly and schedule messages for even months down the road.
  • Setting up your initial cadence is a pain since the best practices are not intuitive.
  • Not a fan of the pop-out window, I preferred the sidebar.
  • There's a lot of little bugs.
It's really great for outbound SDRs. As an AR I've started to use it for cadences around introing CSMs, or for first calls where there's no need until months down the road. These use cases aren't highlighted as much but I've started to see the value. Unfortunately, I've had several glitches where I've gotten a reply from a prospect and the cadence continues to send.

Outreach is mainly being used by the sales development team to nurture leads, get in touch with leads, and getting tasks done automatically. Makes our lives easier - more productive and better follow up.
  • Generate automatic tasks when leads are engaging over your emails
  • Very well structured in emails
  • Option to send manual emails vs. automatically
  • Accuracy of notifications when people are looking into/clicking your email
  • Sometimes, emails are being sent that I don't want to send out
[It's the] best tool that I've been using for now.
