(201-225 of 452)Keeps Us Moving on the Inbound Marketing Train
1. Marketing
We use many of HubSpot's features in our inbound and outbound marketing efforts. This consists of using landing pages, keyword research and tracking, email campaigns/workflows, and social media publishing. HubSpot's features make it easy to complete many tasks all in one program, and easily track progress made.
2. Customer Success
We also use some of these features to segment customer lists and send relevant emails and offers to our existing customers to help them succeed with our products. The integrations we were able to set up between our customer platform and HubSpot have made it easy to keep track of how our customers are doing.
- Educate customers and prospects. HubSpot's team excels at educating both about the product and about inbound marketing in general. I was able to quickly and easily get up-to-speed when I started using HubSpot by attending webinars and reading articles.
- Adding features and updates that make life easier for customers. HubSpot adds new things weekly to their marketing system. All of these additions make it easier to accomplish what you need to get done. One example is the newer Workflow options. This addition removed many steps that I had previously gone through when setting up workflows.
- A wish-list item for me is would be a social publishing integration with Pinterest. It's not a 'must' since the Pin It extension is easy, but it is one extra place I need to go when doing social marketing.
- One other thing that takes extra work is the lack of integration with the HubSpot Campaigns with SalesForce campaigns. Currently we have to set up a campaign in each program, and give it the same name. Making sure you don't miss something from one to the other can take more time than expected.
Can't Imagine My Day Without HubSpot
- Training: HubSpot has hands-down the best training of any software I've used. They recently revamped their training programs with dozens of new videos and complementary resources. The ongoing live training and webinar series are also fantastic...I always learn something new. I've completed all of the certifications, except the COS Design.
- Support: The support team is fast and friendly, available by phone, email and Twitter, and they always follow up to make sure you're satisfied. If there's a feature not currently available, they'll log it as an idea for future product enhancements.
- Social Inbox: I love this tool. I use it in combination with HubSpot's Chrome extension, which saves me valuable time scheduling Twitter and LinkedIn updates.
- Reporting: The new reporting add-on is very powerful, and gives me the ability to quickly create visual reports for my monthly meetings.
- Inability to edit campaign names after they are created.
Best tool on the market!
- When you buy HubSpot, you don't just get the software. You get a team of experts that are there to help and consult with you to ensure that you get the best results possible.
- Extensive training on the tool ensures that you know how to use everything HubSpot has to offer.
- It has altered everything we do and we saw results immediately across departments.
- Salesforce integration is great in theory, but we haven't been able to get it working to the full potential.
- Design templates are not as easy to use as competitors, but the tool does automatically produce templates to match your existing website.
- There are a few bugs here and there that continuously stand in the way of our tracking. While it is not always 100% accurate, it is accurate enough to measure.
Great option for all-in-one marketing platform
- Easy to update and publish blog posts and webpages.
- Excellent content and learning materials.
- Great customer support.
- New updates to the platform have been slightly unstable.
- Limited options for email marketing automation compared to Eloqua and Marketo.
- Content calendar isn't very robust.
Perfect for one man (or woman) Marketing Teams!
- Social Media Marketing: schedule your posts and it posts to all of your social channels at once and then it is all in one place to view interactions and clicks.
- Blog - our entire blog is setup through HubSpot and linked to from our homepage. It's very easy to manage and sometimes better if you aren't familiar or don't want the bloggers accessing your WordPress dashboard.
- Email Campaigns - Email Creation, segregating contacts for emails and then tracking their performance is all simple.
- The blog was difficult to setup originally but Hubspot has an awesome team to help whenever needed. It's now functional and very low maintenance.
- I wish the social media platform could also post to Instagram.
Hubspot, hit the spot!
- Not only have I been impressed with the tool, I have also been thoroughly impressed with the customer service at Hubspot. My marketing consultant has provided excellent guidance and helped to get our marketing engine to the next level.
- If there is ever an issue, the help desk has very quick turnaround
- They update the product and provide the appropriate onboarding/training when that happens so software users don't miss a beat.
- Adding an image to an email is difficult, the space where you click is very small, might need to look at the ux for that particular screen.
- Email templates have been a tough spot for use, at times it seems to be the clunkiest part of the system.
- Would love a podcast with best practices.
Great customer service, works like it should.
- Customer service is exceptional. Any time I have an issue or question I am on the phone with someone within a few minutes, 24/7. They even follow up afterwards to make sure my issue has been resolved.
- Easy to use. The simple interface of the dashboards and tools make it extremely easy for a new user to get the hang of the platform and start having success with it.
- Reporting. The robust reporting features in HubSpot allow us to really drill down and find the information we want.
- Some settings are not easy to find and I have to seek out articles for help and even call support sometimes.
- When a landing page does not display the way you want it to it can be difficult for someone with little coding knowledge to fix the issues.
- Wish that HubSpot gathered data on traffic and leads from specific social media posts.
HubSpot was a game-changer for us - in a good way!
- HubSpot is a great tool for providing an overall way to organize and track your marketing efforts across social media, organic search, email marketing, and more.
- Their team is amazing. They have been awesome every step of the way as we trained and implemented inbound marketing for us and our clients.
- The addition of the CRM component made it even more awesome. Now we can track and manage the leads the marketing is generating.
- I wish the workflow tool made it easier to print out a flow chart for my customers that want to see the whole flow.
- I'd like to see better filtering in the CRM.
- I'd also like to see notifications in the CRM. Right now, we don't get notified if we've been assigned to a lead, so we can miss following up with them.
HubSpot helped us grow this year!
- Identify potential opportunities
- Generate new leads
- Nurture current leads
- Keep current customers in the loop
- Collect and nurture potential job applicants
We use almost all of the tools available to us:
- Buyer persona creation
- Keyword research
- Analytics
- SEO suggestions
- Social Marketing review, scheduling, monitoring, responding
Marketing Automation helps us with creating and maintaining all of our:
- Calls to Action
- Landing Pages
- Forms
- Lists
- Campaigns
- Workflows
Additionally, we do all of the above and more for clients. We could not do what we do for them without HubSpot at the center of our activities. (We could, but it would cost them double or triple)!
- HubSpot coordinates our marketing efforts across multiple channels.
- The Dashboard is clear and concise. This is the daily (and intra-day) hub for us.
- Several tools within HubSpot make it easy to see what is working and what is not in our marketing efforts.
- Pricing is an issue with some of our clients.
- Some tools require digging in to the training before being used effectively.
- The mobile app is great, but needs more features.
- Committed to growth
- Willing to spend 15% of their budget on marketing
- Are on target to reach over $1M annual revenue
- Understand that building a foundation takes time
- Patient to see results in 6-9 months
A great choice for B2B companies with aggressive growth goals. Easily customized and works as an invisible sales team behind the scenes.
- Fully integrated tools allow you to take a holistic view of your potential customers. You can see when they came to your site, what they are interested in, when they return, what they're doing on social media and the pages that they visited. That way, sales can be much more effective.
- Hubspot allows us to function with less sales people. For all the work we put in, Hubspot is working on the back end to multiply our efforts.
- The CRM and Marketing tools tie effortlessly together. I love that I don't need to record anything and all of our emails and interactions are recorded effortlessly.
- The CRM app is great, and allows me to find phone numbers, emails and make calls while I'm out on the road.
- I can't wait until the CRM includes the ability to record both incoming and outgoing emails from Gmail, a functionality I understand is coming soon.
- Because the COS is updating so quickly, I have struggled with some design elements being unchangable. This isn't an issue for new customers coming on because they have updated coding from a year ago, but it has been something I've had to address.
- Simple design features are easy to change (like changing text or pictures) but any more complicated design changes do take some COS and HubL knowledge.
If you are, however, looking to grow your company quickly, Hubspot is an absolute requirement. Also, Hubspot is definitely geared towards the B2B sector, and does especially well in industries that are known for outdated marketing (like manufacturing).
Hubspot to the Rescue!
- User Interface is great and far simpler than other tools.
- Customer Support service is second to none!
- Dashboards provide a quick overview.
- Only complaint is there is no middle price tier between the mid-upper options.
Hubspot - Makes Marketing Automation a Dream!
- The social posting is great. You can easily preview posts before they are published.
- The blog tool is easy to use and includes a handy SEO checklist.
- Being able to preview emails and landing pages on different devices is very useful.
- Setting up custom signatures needs to be an easier process.
- It would be nice if all links were trackable automatically instead of having to set up trackable URL's and then set up lists based on those URL's.
HubSpot fanboy & his honest opinion
- The HubSpot COS is the best CMS I have every worked with.
- HubSpot works super intuitive and it is very easy to learn how to use the tools.
- The constant roll-out of product updates makes sure you are always working with the latest and greatest tools available.
- The connectivity is great. I can connect HubSpot with pretty much anything I would want to connect it to.
- I would like to have a place in the software where I see all my content combined. Not on landingpage, blogpost, social or campaign level; but just everything from everywhere.
- I think buyer persona's should have a more prominent place in the software and should come back in every content tool.
The most popular marketing automation software in the world
- Setting up forms
- Segmenting contact lists
- A/B testing emails
- Branching logic is hard to visualize.
The sweet spot
We organize our information about prospects, leads, contacts and customers. Using HubSpot, we can qualify leads, blog and blog and more blog, and we can get some great nurture workflows going to keep the conversation alive with our customers after they download a resource (or webinar/demo, but we don't do very many of those yet).
Love it!
- Organization. They set sample flows and patterns. I just have to set it up and add my content.
- Tutorials. They have a lot and they are excellent.
- Support. Every time I have a question, they answer right away and actually have the answer.
- Onboarding. It's a LOT of services, names of features, etc.
- Learning Curve. See above...there's a lot going on and it takes a while to sort it out.
HubSpot is Very Efficient
- Social Media Monitoring
- Social Media Publishing
- Emails
- Tracking and Analytics
- The ability to schedule from non-mainstream social media platforms
- The ability to track non-mainstream social media platforms
Purchased HubSpot 5 Years Ago and Never Looked Back
- One centralized dashboard for tracking all of your marketing activities
- Checklist-style approach to ensuring that users are optimizing their pages, emails, etc. for SEO (a "for dummies" approach)
- Integration of CRM and marketing software eliminates data silos
- For users that have been HubSpot customers for a long time, the amount of content in the portal can be overwhelming. Better folder structures for workflows, lists, etc. would help to eliminate this clutter.
- More custom reporting would be nice. For example, I would love to be able to auto-generate an email to my sales team of all new leads that have converted in the last week.
- A lead rotator would be good. When new leads convert, it would be great to be able to auto-assign them to different salespeople on a pre-set rotation schedule.
- Closed loop analytics. Unless every component of your marketing is tied into one place you'll never get an accurate "start to finish" view of your marketing. HubSpot does this better than any other I've seen.
- Intuitive interface. HubSpot's put a lot of effort into making their tool easy to use. I find this is where a lot of companies struggle. They make these tools so powerful, but operating them can also be a challenge. HubSpot's done this really well.
- Top notch service and support. If you do have problems or questions, support is a phone call away. I have never waited on hold longer than about 2-3 minutes and most times my calls are answered inside of 60 seconds. And the best thing about support is they'll roll up their sleeves and dive into the problem with you. They're not going to send you a link to a help article and move on to the next person like so many other companies do. Support is incredible.
- I'd really like to see a "library" where evergreen social updates (such as links to blog posts) can be stored and reused over and over on a set schedule. There are other social softwares that have this functionality and I find that so useful and such a time saver that I don't do all of our social publishing through HubSpot anymore.
- I think there is a disconnect between their package levels. The Basic level is pretty much useless because it lacks marketing automation and the ability to do drip sequences. That means that the entry level package really is at the Professional level but that's not always affordable for smaller businesses. The difference in price between Professional and Enterprise is ridiculous (sorry guys, I still love you!) There are some valuable tools in Enterprise but the jump in price isn't reflective of the added value in my opinion.
- There's room for improvement in the workflows. Creating a list that shows people who have completed a form is easy to do. Creating a list that shows people who have completed a form, and have NOT completed any other forms is not so easy to do. Some competitor platforms have introduced tagging where behaviours and activities can trigger the system to apply a tag to a contact record. Marketing automation can then be triggered by tags. This opens up a ton of possibilities and might be worth looking at.

Thanks HubSpot!
- Managing tasks that would otherwise by hugely time consuming such as setting up automated work flow emails.
- Again providing tools to massively customise emails to make them your own using 'design manager'.
- Lists and other tools provided to manage vast amounts of contacts saves time and requires only one person to organise them. all.
- Me and a colleague feel that the amount of different tabs required to be open for certain tasks could be reduced by quite a lot in some case, each tool required is important and works well... they should just be a little more condensed. For example when designing an email recently we had about 4 different tabs open, all to do different things.
- Glitches in how contacts' information is presented often seem to occur, as in the properties switch around making it difficult to find what you are looking for sometimes!
- I genuinely can't think of any more!
TrustRadius Trusts HubSpot
- Connect with social media.
- Optimize landing pages.
- A/B test.
- Email marketing.
- A/B testing.
- Template offers.
- Smart CTA options.
Very User Friendly!
- Attribution reporting - this enables better campaign planning and management
- Marketing management - from beginning to end, implementing a campaign is super easy
- Competitive analysis - the competitor tool is so easy to use, and the dashboard gives a quick-glance look at how you compare
- Some of the more advanced development features. It would be fantastic if there was a little more room for customization in the blog post editor.
When You're Not a Marketing Genius -- Try using a System that is and teaches you to be one.
We use HubSpot internally and with an implementation partner. It is nice because we can see all relevant flows, processes to enhance each other's work and avoid overlaps.
- We can write, load and schedule our blogs for a significant period of our marketing calendar for B2C and B2B and both.
- We can write load and schedule our social media activities to correspond with both our corporate marketing calendar and posts for specific events for our own or our resellers participation. This lets our B2B exposure improve to put our brand in front of the consumer market through other channels.
- We can integrate forms from HubSpot with Goldmine, our CRM system, so we are able to maintain complete history of all activities with a client or customer but still keep the pre-defined flow for marketing communications.
- HubSpot training programs are excellent ways for learning and using the product and also to add value for an employee.
- There are some ways HubSpot performs its actions that make it necessary for us to purchase additional functionality in other products we have used for much longer in order to integrate. Changing the way it works in these instances would provide us easier implementation and allow us to utilize it more completely.
- HubSpot's latest initiative to become our CRM system interferes with a CRM system which has MANY years worth of data, including links to documents, While I understand the need for some CRM "functionality" in a product like HubSpot, it is not comprehensive enough to be my CRM system.
- Integration with more social media platforms to address the changing consumer usage. For example, the shift of many age groups away from Facebook to Instagram.
HubSpot made our Web Experience Profitable and Easy
- Easy to use - From setting up web pages to updating data HubSpot is very easy to use
- Great proactive support staff - Our company representative Jared Brewer is awesome. He knows our business and pushes us enough to get us to make things happen.
- All in one - It really is an all in one platform. Blog, Social Media, etc all in one place.
- Great analytics - We get to run the reports the way we want them when we want them.
- Daily updates - Emails from HubSpot on a daily basis so we can track what we are doing online.
- It takes a while to get to know your way around. Once you have done it a few times it is very easy.
- Support different platforms like Dreamweaver from Adobe
HubSpot is Dope - Dig It
The contacts database is very robust. Custom contact attributes allowed us to capture information that is relevant to our digital B2C marketing efforts. Every form submitted on our website was integrated with HubSpot's API (thanks to a ton of help from their outrageously supportive tech team). This allows me to segment based on store id, geo region, or customer type, for more segmented emailing. The contact reports aren't just email addresses like you would find on Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, every touch is recorded whether it was on the website, email, or social media.
- Content Calendar - Combines all of the content generating tools into a simply laid out calendar. Plan and assign blog posts, social media updates, email blasts, and see it all in one large view. Then click into each content creating app and begin working. Summarizes the swiss-army knife ease of HubSpot's assorted marketing tools.
- Customer Support - Personalized inbound training goes above and beyond what you would expect. Reps are very attentive to all of the details of your account, and find innovative ways to apply the inbound methodology to your specific company. The HubSpot Academy is AMAZING - providing hours of video on the philosophy and practice of inbound marketing with HubSpot. If you pay enough attention, you can get HubSpot certified like me!
- Social Media - Publish to 200 accounts in a few clicks. Monitor Twitter for prospects and engage with users talking about your product or industry. Create reports to show your boss the traffic is worth the time.
- Location Management - Would love to see a way to manage search engine listings like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc... Publishing store information to business directories is a big part of inbound marketing missing from this software suite.
- Managing images and uploaded files is difficult and time consuming. Wish there was a way to integrate with my Dropbox so renaming and organizing doesn't absorb hours.
- Design Manager for email templates, forms, and landing pages still has a lot of room for improvement. Difficult tool to learn for someone without a background in HTML/CSS and little support from reps or academy.
