It has helped our marketing team be more data driven and helped us track our campaigns and individual communications which we were not doing before our HubSpot subscription began. As a company that helps our clients use data to drive decisions; it is great to practice what we preach.,Interface is easy to use and intuitive. Email editing is extremely easy to use for both design professionals and people who do not know how to code HTML. The social interface is extremely detail oriented and allows you to take your social tracking to the next level.,SalesForce integration is not always intuitive. The training is not as streamlined as it could be.,9,Increased marketing team efficiency. Better metric tracking across marketing communications and sales communications.,,Less than 10,000,10,9HubSpot: A Killer Marketing Platform For The Modern MarketerWe are using HubSpot to host our site, build our site, manage our blog, landing pages, calls to action, SEO, and social media. Basically, all online marketing is done via HubSpot.,FAST and EASY: I am no web programmer, and don't register domains or set up sites frequently. But when I decided on a whim to finally do this, it was literally just a couple hours between grabbing the domain at GoDaddy and building the site in HubSpot on a Saturday morning. Hubspot CMS: The HubSpot content management system is actually fun to use. It's a pretty effortless way to create pages, with lots of options for page layout and formatting controls. And as powerful/flexible as they are, I've found the user interface more intuitive than my experiences with WordPress and Drupal. Hosting: I like the fact that I don't need to worry about where the site lives, uploading updates, managing the server. Blogging tools: It's super-easy to set up a blog (or several blogs), and insert related modules (recent posts, tags, etc.) throughout the site. Furthermore the authoring tool includes automatic suggestions/notifications, such as "article body missing images" and "meta description missing keywords" to help optimize the blog for readers and search engines. And, HubSpot takes care of all the "plumbing" - feedburner, social media sharing buttons, etc. Analytics: I used to be a Google Analytics junkie, but find HubSpot's analytics both easier to work with, and more actionable and informative. Whether it's looking at traffic sources and volume, page popularity or dynamics of keyword rankings, blog analytics or clickthrough rates on lead follow-up emails, they're all there, just a click away. Forms: It is so easy to add all sorts of forms, without hooking up your own back end for the leads database. Integrated email and lead nurturing tools, integration with Salesforce.com and other CRM tools, landing pages. Easily insert widgets: Whether it's adding Twitter feeds, photo galleries from my SmugMug photo site, SlideShare presentations, or a ton of other widgets - it's easy to pimp out your HubSpot-based site. And the biggie: INTEGRATION! All the tools are nicely connected, woven together and talk to each other. For example: Once you enter your social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), new blog posts trigger notifications on those accounts (rather than you having to post to Twitter etc. manually). Once you enter the keywords relevant to your business (or pick them from the keyword tool), it will automatically notify you of conversations/posts/tweets/etc going on RIGHT NOW on those topics, so you can participate in the blogosphere. The forms, leads database, email tools and lead nurturing are all integrated, eliminating the need to string together several plug-ins, databases, and workflows. Content creation - whether on a web site page, a landing page, a blog post, lead nurturing emails, etc. - features a consistent UI. HubSpot's analytics are monitoring all aspects of the site, everything from what drive traffic, to what your visitors are clicking on, what's generating leads, nurturing campaign clickthrough rates, etc. Tools like Page Grader or Link Grader provide actionable intelligence on what to improve, and you're just a click away from going right to what needs fixing. Template creation is extremely intuitive and HubSpot has created a streamline process to be able to make simple changes, review those changes and go back and redo those changes if need be. Having a snapshot view of performance within every content creation is the cherry on top!,The live updating when making template changes for pages whether site or landing, takes too long. There is too long of a delay when editing plain text within an email causing us to lose all work done to that email prior.,10,Better overall communication with our personas / targeted audience. Faster lead conversion ROI,,10We really like HubSpot. Manufacturers, proceed with caution. It is primarily used by me for the purpose of outbound marketing emails and internal weekly newsletters. There are two others on our marketing team that know the basics but haven't been using the program that much as of late.,Fantastic customer service support In-depth metrics reporting Compatibility with other tracking URLs (i.e. Google paid ads) Daily website activity reports (i.e. prospects who visit the site),A daily or weekly email regarding a specific email or series of emails. MailChimp will send an email letting me know who has engaged with our email (i.e. opened, clicked, etc.) but HubSpot doesn't do that. As it stands, I have created a spreadsheet - email addresses down the left, email type (week 1, week 2...) across the top. I go into HubSpot, look for the email address and then check if the person opened our email and/or clicked and then send that to our field sales reps (not direct employees and therefore don't have access to the site). This is extremely timely. A second layer of this is I can do my report but I don't know if someone else has opened/clicked the email unless I go back in and compare my sheet to the HubSpot drop down. This takes a ton of time and I'd prefer to not have to do this. Between reporting between email campaigns and website activity. For example, if Acme medical is on our site and we have someone (i.e. Dave) from Acme medical in our contacts lists then the website activity report should say that it's possible that Dave was the one to visit our site. A way to track CTA from an email campaign to a YouTube video. It's better for us to post a video to YouTube rather than our WordPress site. However, if the CTA goes to the YouTube video then we've lost them. Become better versed on how to help manufacturing companies. We've been on two webinars where we wrote in asking about how a specific topic relates to the manufacturing industry and they flat out didn't respond. They skipped over us. I attended INBOUND and the best speaker, for my industry, was from a marketing agency who works with manufacturing companies. HubSpot, in my opinion, as great as they are, doesn't know how to apply their portal to our industry, especially when working with a company like ours that manufactures custom goods on demand.,7,We have been able to turn 70+ leads over to our field sales force since May 2014. That might seem small to some companies but that's huge for us as we're just getting started (less than a year in with HubSpot). We didn't have this level of tracking before.,,8,3,1,We can see which companies visit our website We can send outbound emails to leads that our field sales force has been in touch with and track engagement rates. We can track activity across various webpages,We use it as a weekly newsletter which helps to bridge the information gap between departments. It helps boost morale as people feel more connected to what it is that they do and/or make.,CRM - we have yet to learn about that toolTake your marketing to the next level with HubSpotI was first introduced to HubSpot when the marketing agency I work for began using it for our own marketing efforts. We were so impressed with the results that we actually began recommending the product to customers and managing it on their behalf. The rest is history! I could sit here and write a book about all of the different ways we have leveraged HubSpot, the problems it has solved and how that's translated into bottom-line success for our clients as well as our agency. What it really boils down to is HubSpot allows you to be a more efficient and effective marketer.,Ease of Use - HubSpot's user interface is extremely intuitive and they also have some great training videos to walk you through how to use the product. Lead Generation - Our clients that are on HubSpot are growing their marketing databases at a much higher rate than those that do not. Nurturing Leads - Based on contact properties and site interactions, we can deliver the right message, to the right person at the right time. Lifecycle Stages - Moving contacts through the various lifecycle stages based on website activity allows us prioritize who our sales reps should be contacting.,The "SMART Goals" email notifications do not say which client reached their monthly goal. We manage numerous HubSpot accounts and receive emails that say "Congrats, you reached your monthly goal..." but we have no idea which client reached their goal based on the email. I imagine this will be updated soon because we submitted it to the HubSpot customer feedback site. They are actually really good about updating the product based on requests and feedback.,10,Increased Traffic Increased Leads Easier to Qualify Leads Higher Close Rates (Leads to Customers),,Not available,Email marketing Lead nurturing Lead scoring and grading Landing pages List segmentation Sales intelligence Sales campaigns Revenue cycle modeling Integration with CRM system Integration with webinar system Social marketing SEO Blogging Shopping cart Surveys,10,10Streamlined, intuitive platform that will simplify your job while effectively nurturing your leads.HubSpot is vital in our marketing department to solve the challenges of client communication and lead nurturing.,HubSpot integrates several levels of communication (social media, blog, email, etc.) into one intuitive platform streamlining its use and simplifying reporting. For example, the ability to cc an email address and offer more customized/specific reporting. However, they do provide a forum where you can add or vote for new features that are regularly reviewed by their development team. Compared to other platforms, HubSpot is a bit pricy, even though it is competitive.,10,By utilizing HubSpot's automated email workflows during our busiest quarter, we increased our eBook download rate by 700%. I have used other marketing platforms in my previous job and I have been very pleased with the ability and the ease of use that HubSpot has. They are priced very competitively for what they offer and have many integrated tools that are not part of a basic package in their competitors. I would highly recommend HubSpot to any other small and mid-market size companies as they are a great platform for marketing efforts.,It integrates very well with Salesforce making lead management very easy Emails and landing pages are very easy to build Automated campaigns are also very easy to build and implement,Some functionalities are missing such as having folders to categorize landing pages but nothing that is a deal breaker.,9,We have seen higher traffic to the website and also better conversion to leads.,Eloqua,Marketo,9,Email marketing Lead nurturing Landing pages List segmentation Integration with CRM system Integration with webinar system Social marketing SEO,Less than 10,000,1Hubspot is exceptionalIt gathers data like crazy and provides reports to help bring meaning to data. Being able to see what is working best better gives me and my organization the ability to better serve our clients.,Analytics - real time tracking of results, CTA clicks, Email opens, etc. gives immediate insight into effective tactics and allows for immediate changes and adjustments when something is not proving effective. Training - videos and certifications are excellent at training users on HubSpot and all of the tools it provides. It is helpful when needing to train clients and explain to them the tools we are using to better serve their company. Ease - HubSpot is very user friendly. It is easy to learn the basics and advanced use can be learned through trainings or user experience. It ties together all aspects of our marketing in one platform, and makes it easy for our marketing vendors and staff to collaborate on all marketing aspects.,Software. The user interface is easy to use and well organized. The dashboard is a nice summary of our activity. Training. The consulting was very helpful to us as we started and their online Academy has been incredibly helpful. Support. Their help desk is extremely knowledge and responsive.,While I really liked the consulting services, they are a bit robotic in that they follow a very strict format, so if you want to be a little outside of the box, that is not as easy to do. As an example, the consultant was very knowledgeable on the core format, but getting strategic advice was not something easy to navigate within the system.,10,HubSpot has helped is to get our marketing efforts launched and organized. We are still fairly new, so I do not have a lot of data on it's impact yet.,Constant Contact,10All Around Great Product and BrandWe use HubSpot across the whole organization. Sales and operations uses this to gain lead insights and find content they can send to prospects that showcases our expertise. For marketing, we use HubSpot throughout the day to manage everything but the website, which is still hosted in WordPress.,Support team and consultants are great. They always have answers and suggestions. They are always accessible. I rarely have to wait to talk to support. Committed to innovation and improving the product. They understand that when I'm successful, they're successful because I renew our license. Understand the rapidly changing role of the marketer. We have to control all our digital outposts and prove our ROI. You can do that with all the tools in HubSpot.,Like Salesforce, they have really started to build an ecosystem of partners. The technology can be used for the DIY marketer, but there is definitely a learning curve to all the best practices for each tool and keeping up with them. I have no doubt that people who use a partner agency are more successful because they have access to many subject matter experts who can all keep up with technology changes. Still, it's possible for someone with beginner knowledge of digital marketing to learn Hubspot and online marketing methodology. As much as HubSpot is DIY, you still have to work with a webmaster or someone with knowledge of HTML and CSS to really ensure the functionality and design flows with your website if it's not hosted on HubSpot CMS. Pre-designed templates, call-to-action buttons, etc., are very limited and nobody should really be using their freebies. You really have to spend the $$$ on a designer who can make landing page and ebook templates, CTAs, etc.,10,Huge impact. We blew our 2013 goals out of the water. Leads from our website increased from 5 avg. per month to 40-60 per month, with somewhat limited content. We expect that with more content efforts next year, these with double. Better info. for our sales team before they engage with a prospect. We know what pages they viewed, emails they clicked, etc. It's awesome to run all marketing from one place. For example, each solution has templates for email and blogging but the best designs are customized. You need to make sure you can find a vendor who will support your vision and branding for that marketing solution.,Implemented in-house,No,Change management was a major issue with the implementation,Personas and target market not well understood or defined - this hurts content and lead nurturing strategy Sales process was not defined to support inbound marketing We didn't have a master "plan" for implementation - we just wanted to do everything as quickly as possible,5,10,We transitioned to a new brand name and URL a few months ago. We kept our existing license and portal but need to make a few technical switches. HubSpot was really awesome with supporting us in the effort and we didn't really encounter too many problems. We did have some technical glitches with our subdomains and analytics tracking but support was able to resolve within 48 hours. Because of this, we had very little downtime with any of the features on HubSpot and no downtime with our website launch.Loyal HubSpot UserWe use HubSpot across marketing and sales. It gives us insight into who's visiting our website, opening our emails and reading the content we produce.,User-friendly interfaces. Education - excellent resources available for any marketing topic you can imagine, lots of helpful guides, Inbound conference is unbeatable. Analytics - gives us everything we need to know about how our website and marketing efforts perform and more.,The workflow feature was a little cumbersome previously, but we've found it much easier to use with the recently introduced improvements.,10,HubSpot allows us to see which efforts are paying off. I would say its had a very positive impact on our ability to track ROI.,Pardot Marketing Automation,10Etienne's Hubspot ReviewAs an online marketing agency, we use it mainly for our clients. We use it to design landing page, to manage our content and calls-to-actions, forms, and so on. We also use the analytics section to do our reports and to have a better understanding of what should be prioritized in our efforts.,Ease of use : people that have no programming experience can design landing pages, emails, social media publishing... It really is easy to use and to understand. Integrated : We can do everything related to the Inbound Methodology. The Hubspot solution is quite complete and combines a lot of functionalities. Workflows : Being able to do workflows and chain of events depending of actions people make on our website is simply amazing!,Social Media Monitoring : only for twitter, which I don't really use this much. Should be working on Facebook and LinkedIn! Custom theme : When I created my Hubspot account, i was working on a new website, and the custom theme was made out of the old version of the website... I was sad that we could not adapt it without paying additional fees.,9,- Better way to track specific campaign performance. - Better management of social media and interactions. - More offers generated with the same time allocated.,Pardot Marketing Automation,MailChimp,9Not too shabbyHubSpot is being used for our school's blogging team. Several employees under the supervision of the communications coordinator individually write blog posts for the entire university to see, and beyond. We have had people all over the world see our posts, actually! The HubSpot program is a great way to easily upload and manage content to the UOIT website. Overall an excellent tool.,Simplicity. Very easy to navigate through and make a post. The auto save and preview post are helpful. The dashboard analytics are neat and useful,The only thing I say needs improvement is the long procedure for uploading several pictures to have on a blog post. You have to upload each one, one at a time, and you have to start from the main folder each time.,9,We've seen results already, where students have recognized places we've blogged about and have increased interest in those places (whether they be the school's facilities, events going on, places to eat, etc.) The analysis on HubSpot shows our posts reach are very good, higher than expected.,,10,Social marketing Blogging,Not availableHubSpot Gets Five Stars From MeHubSpot is used across our entire organization. It is used most heavily by those in account management and creative design with our clients, but it is used strongly by marketing as well as client relations and even lightly by our receptionist. We are very active in addressing any product updates across the organization and discussing how they can benefit each individual user. We also strive for every employee to be not only inbound certified but hubspot certified and most partner certified. In regards to what business problems it addresses, it helps solve many for each individual role. In my role specifically, I use it to send out newsletters, post blog articles, publish case studies, and automate responders for client webinars we will be holding. With no background in design, it makes it simple to create streamlined, visually appealing content all on my own. It helps me be independent in all of my projects and also allows me to monitor the success of each of these campaigns and analyze them to improve each new step moving forward.,HubSpot allows you to take control of your projects. With tools such as the CTA builder, landing page creator, etc. I can create everything I need for my client delight campaigns on my own with occasional help from a designer or developer. HubSpot also does a really good job of reaching out to their partners and getting their feedback on how to improve the software. I recently did a feedback run through on an upcoming blog dashboard and was delighted to see some of the things that me and my colleague suggested in full force. It really makes you feel like you have an effect on how HubSpot grows and changes over time and that they really listen and genuinely care about the needs of their users. I also really like the various metrics HubSpot allows a user to track very easily. As someone who puts together the case studies for my company, it helps tremendously to have a ton of useful information already tracked and easily digested on all of the KPI's we care about for our clients. The source report is great, and the organization of it and ability to manipulate what data is shown allows for great visuals that can be used to represent information shared in the case studies.,I would like if the dashboard for each of our clients had 'all time' as a drop down option for the data that they are displaying. It is a great compilation of metrics, and being able to view overall growth in one area for landing pages, blog posts, emails, etc. would be very convenient. The ability to add a contact while in a list would also be useful. Maybe it is something that I am missing because it seems so logical, but having to go back to the contact page to add a contact as opposed to just adding it to a specific list you're viewing is an extra step that could be cut out. The ability to add a list of twitter usernames that you follow under social monitoring would also be beneficial. Currently, many of our clients aren't showing up in the social inbox tool even though I am following a list of those who are lifecycle stage client. In order to overcome this I had to go and make a list in twitter and then follow that list in HubSpot, so being able to just do it right in HubSpot would again be desirable.,10,I really can't provide any hard numbers, but I can definitely see the ROI in increased employee efficiency. HubSpot is easy to navigate even for a beginner and provides so much insight into how each piece of a strategy plays in to the full picture of a campaign and how little tweaks quickly increase or decrease overall results. I also will attest to HubSpot leading to better customer service. I focus mostly on current clients and working to delight them. Being able to send personalized emails from HubSpot and gage their response to them allows me to constantly better my approach. Seeing what links they click in our newsletter and the number of clicks on each link helps me make our newsletter more enticing with every edition.,,10,30,30,Account Management: client services Marketing Team: blog posts, social media Client relations: client delight resources such as newsletter, blog articles, case studies, etc.,We have really been able to push boundaries of how HubSpot can work with the new COS. We also have several clients that utilize HubSpot for workflows and we have really found innovative ways to manipulate them to best suit their needs.,I think we will continue to use HubSpot in about the same sense, but obviously as HubSpot innovates and changes, we will constantly be trying to find new innovative ways to use the software.,Really the whole system is easy and elegant. HubSpot allows users to post blog articles easily and make them visually appealing as well as SEO optimized. I also really like the CTA builder because it takes a lot of the need for a designer away and allows you to still create compelling CTA's and then monitor their performance and easily tweak them to grow conversion rates. Creating emails is also very easy to do in HubSpot and they always come off very elegant and personal. We often get complimented by prospects and clients on the fact that our emails aren't automated...but little do they know they usually are! But with HubSpot we can optimize them and send them from a real person and add personalization like their first name. This also increases performance of these emails.,I really can't think of any functions particularly difficult.,Yes,10Hits the spotHubSpot is an invaluable tool within our organisation - it automates the boring stuff so you can focus on being creative. It's easy to get to grips with, and all customer support communications I've had have been fantastic. I don't know how other marketing departments get by without it - it's essentially an extra member of the team.,Social publishing: allows you to track your efforts within a given campaign. It demonstrates results very clearly. Resources/training: there is an endless supply of content on various topics. If you have a problem or query, you can guarantee HubSpot will have a blog post, ebook or class to address it.,Page performance: I sometimes see discrepancies between what the page performance analysis tells me and what is live on the page itself.,9,Increased employee efficiency - some of the more time consuming aspects of marketing, social for example, can be easily automated by the tool and the results tracked easily.,,9HubSpot ReviewHubSpot is hands down one of the best Marketing Automation/Inbound Marketing tools available today. The feature selection covers everything an internet marketer will need for their job. I highly recommend HubSpot to start-ups and small businesses.,Email Marketing SEO/Keywords Landing Page and Conversions,Needs more Segmentation features An added SEO page crawler feature will be a huge plus Additional automated actions would be useful,10,Page Visits have doubled Conversions have gone from 4% to 7% We rank in the top 10 for our key keywords.,,10Great Organization and Very Helpful Through the Onboarding ProcessWe signed up for HubSpot and attended their conference. The process for onboarding and helping guide non marketing / SEO people was great. My only complaint would be that they seemed to be a bit scattered at times. Probably because they are so busy.,Very knowledgeable about outbound marketing. Very good at explaining the outbound marketing process. They put on a great conference for people new to HubSpot.,Not be so rushed when on conference calls. Use a enterprise mail system to communicate (Google mail is not enterprise level).,9,We stopped using it shortly after deploying due to an change in our company. This was at no fault of HubSpot.,,1,Implemented in-house,Change management was minimal,No issues,9HubSpot ReviewI personally used HubSpot on our company website. Our company also uses HubSpot for our clients. We used HubSpot for lead generation for ourselves and our clients.,Their landing pages where easy to build. All form fills operated very well. We were able to generate a significant number of leads.,Could be more user friendly The functionality was a little bumpy,8,Our experience with HubSpot was positive and we were able to generate a number a good leads using thier services.,,5,2,2,Landing pages Lead generations Follow lead traffic on website,We use it for a number of our clients to help gain them leads in unconventional ways.,That i do not know.,Not Sure,Product Features,I was not involved in this.,Don't know,I was not involved in the process,5,No,7,No,It was all pretty standard for me.,Navigating through my different landing pages was easy,Going from form fill to the thank you page was not the best.,7

HubSpot was my team's top choice because of the level and accessibility of customer service and troubleshooting staff as well as the layout of the software, integration capabilities and the interface. It seemed like the easiest to use and most powerful.

  • Marketo,Pardot
I used Marketo in the past. Way too complicated. You basically need a full time person operating it. With HubSpot, I can have my entire team use it. And, Marketo is more of a campaign tool. HubSpot is an entire marketing platform. It's what Salesforce.com is for sales.

Hubspot had also been on my radar. I received regular email about their whitepapers and their content was interesting and informative. They produced relevant and good information; they were always at the forefront in my mind.

  • Buffer,HootSuite Free
HubSpot is way better than HootSuite in the fact that scheduling social media has become so much easier for me. I like the fact that if I schedule a photo for a social post, my readers don't get redirected to an owl.y page. This saves me time in that I don't have to (usually) post photos live to the networks I manage. I also like the fact that you can schedule to the minute, rather than every five minutes like HootSuite requires. I have also found that Buffer would quite often glitch on me and that the timeline of what you have posted for social is less confusing in HubSpot.

None, HubSpot made everything clear and obvious from the first time we hit their website. We did not look any further.

I don't want to call out any companies specifically but what I will say is that we have seen many clients come to us using several tools to essentially do what HubSpot can do. They save money and time by transitioning to HubSpot.

Act-On and Optify. We chose HubSpot because of the extensive range of capabilities, excellent support and training opportunities. And the corporate culture. They are great people to work with and know.

In my opinion, HubSpot has no competition that successfully integrates all aspects of inbound marketing as effectively. There are plenty of tools that successfully perform close to if not as well as HubSpot, but none do it all. Google Analytics, HootSuite, etc., are good at specific aspects of inbound marketing. But HubSpot is great at all aspects of inbound marketing. With HubSpot, every tool you need is in one place and seamlessly integrated.

We moved to HubSpot from Constant Contact, which was a substantial leap forward in marketing technology. Compared to other popular solutions on the market, HubSpot is much more affordable and still gets results. A large enterprise might need a more robust marketing system with multiple software solutions but HubSpot is a great all-in-one tool for companies who want to combine blogging, email marketing, social media and SEO into one place.

HubSpot's user interfaces are what sets them apart for me. I find myself getting lost inside Salesforce -- I just don't think it's easy to navigate. I feel that I would need a lot more training to master Pardot, whereas HubSpot is really intuitive.

About HubSpot

HubSpot is an all-in-one inbound marketing engine that includes tools for email marketing, landing page creation, social media marketing, content management, reporting & analytics, search engine optimization (SEO) and more. The vendor says over 18,000 customers in more than 90 countries use HubSpot’s all-in-one marketing & sales software platform to transform the way they connect with new customers.

HubSpot's all-in-one marketing automation suite broadly includes:

  • A Content Management System to create and manage forms, landing pages, templates and blogs
  • Online Marketing capabilities to ensure that content can be found through search engines, social networks, email, blogs, etc.
  • Lead Management for generating, nurturing, scoring, segmenting and tracking leads
  • Reporting & Analysis to track and optimize all marketing data including contacts, content and website

HubSpot's marketing platform integrates with popular CRM systems like Salesforce, or can be used with the free HubSpot CRM for a true all-in-one experience. The vendor says this results in less hassle, more control, and an inbound strategy that actually works.

HubSpot aims to help businesses leave behind dated approaches to driving business growth in favor of an inbound approach - attracting new visitors, converting them as leads, closing them as customers, and delighting them over the long term.
