Reviews
(276-300 of 654)Hubspot - Great product, well executed
- Blogging - guiding users with SEO is really useful.
- Analytics - it pulls together data from across activities to give you a very simple view of what's working and what isn't.
- Training - the videos are excellent. I have got my team taking the exams; it's really stepped up the team's game.
- Simplicity - the whole system has a very strong methodology that people can understand and follow.
- Speed - sometimes when blogging there has been a lag when writing or amending posts.
- Managing data - marketing is increasingly using the system to manage all marketing, which still includes sending direct mail. An easier way to manage importing and exporting of data would be helpful.
- Sidekick - an add-on that works with Outlook, but doesn't seem to be updating properly at the moment.
HubSpot. AKA: Holy crap look how much of my time I've freed up!
- Blogging - It gives you suggestions as you write so that you never miss out on SEO.
- Automation / Workflows - Simple yet sophisticated, it can do as little as you want or as much as you like. My favourite part is the website integration, which allows me to send automated emails to those in my database who perform different actions on my website (eg: visit pricing page 3 times in a week).
- Social Media - the way you can monitor keywords and contacts in your database so that you can reach out to them when they need you is awesome.
- Workflows - my only gripe is the "if yes / if no" - it works perfectly however the aesthetic of the page makes it a little more difficult to see where the automation will branch.
For Mid-Market B2B, Cannot Recommend Enough!
- HubSpot does content management very well. The blog loop allows tons of room for customization, the web development and design features are solid and have improved over the last year. With the right development, the possibilities of what you could achieve with the tool in this area is really almost limitless.
- The social media app is very intuitive and makes scheduling posts, and recycling content for maximum impact, very quick and easy.
- The workflow capabilities are excellent and have improved tremendously over the last year. Great flexibility in terms of setting up marketing automation based on any variety of contact properties or interaction variables.
- The email app has a lot going for it. The system for tracking opens and click is robust, the features that drive email responsiveness are flawless -- it takes a lot of the work out of ensuring your email communications will look good on all the common clients/environments. But, just so you can do your due diligence, there are preview tools powered by Litmus.
- The customer service is very, very good.
- Reporting/analytics in HubSpot is, in my opinion, a weak spot. Whereas a platform like Salesforce CRM provides enormous flexibility for digging into your data, HubSpot reports are quite static. There is a reporting add-on that costs extra and would seem to fill the gap for organizations that must have robust reporting capabilities.
- While the email app is very powerful in terms of design and tracking, HubSpot shares a few limitations in common with other email service providers, stemming from their very understandable need to protect their servers' trust ratings. For example, once an email to an intended recipient has hard bounced, that recipient is permanently blocked unless they manually "opt" back in, by interfacing with HubSpot. If you intend to use the tool to communicate with clients, this can be problematic. (Otherwise, for purposes like inbound marketing, probably not a big problem.) A Transactional Email add-on bypasses the block, at a cost. However, if you have these issues with deliverability, HubSpot's deliverability team will work with you to suggest a resolution. Their customer service is very good.
- The webpage templating / designing is very good, and it has improved tremendously over the last two years. However, there are still ways HubSpot can continue to improve here. We sometimes find ourselves building more templates than we would like, simply because the end users don't have the flexibility they require in the page designing tool (which implements the templates). That said, HubSpot has already made strides in this area, and I believe they intend to continue adding additional flexibility based on customer feedback.
Hubba Hubba, HubSpot! I heart you :)
- Intuitive Interface
- Awesome 24/7 Support
- Super Easy to Learn and Use
- Could do with more robust reporting
- The reporting that is offered is an "add on" (i.e. more money — but it should be part of the subscription)
HubSpot at a Glance
- HubSpot brings all important aspects of digital marketing into one place making digital marketing campaigns a breeze.
- HubSpot's sales, training, and technical support teams are always there to guide you and your team along the HubSpot journey, from simple day to day HubSpot "How-To's" to long term sales goals and processes. The teams are so knowledgeable and always friendly.
- HubSpot blogs are always alerting Digital Marketers with the most up to date practices and technqiues making digital marketing exciting and teaching HubSpot users and the public what works best.
- I focus on social media, and I would like to see an Instagram implementation as well as photos available for posting to LinkedIn, but I have been informed that the LinkedIn functionality is not something HubSpot can fix at this time due to LinkedIn restrictions.
HubSpot for the win! Highly recommend to marketers
- I really enjoy how HubSpot listens it us, the users. We can voice what new features we would like to have developed and "like" ideas of others. They listen and develop the highly desired ones!
- Scheduling out social media posts allows me to fill out our profiles, and then focus on timely pieces on a day to day basis.
- Emailing is amazing within HubSpot. The ability to personalize, manage lists, design the email (both within the template, and then within the email) ... all of it is great.
- Some of the social media integration features do not provide you with full capabilities (posting YouTube videos through social media in HubSpot doesn't work well).
- They also don't integrate with every social media platform - in particular instagram. They do integrate with: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and G+
- Also, for some reason when I schedule social media posts for a blog that hasn't been published, but is scheduled and will be published by the time the social media post pushes, the image associated with the blog does not appear on the social media post. This has prevented me from scheduling those posts in advance.
My HubSpot Review!
One of my favorite features is their social media tool. It's extremely built out for Twitter (honestly, one of the social media platforms that we care about) and is slowly getting more built out for the other social media sites- Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook.
We use HubSpot for essentially all of our marketing services we provide to clients. They have excellent customer support who answer the phone in minutes, always. It's never automated, either. It's always a real, live person on the other end and they will work on your issue until it's completely fixed. Pretty awesome and unique, considering other marketing automation programs don't offer that. I would highly recommend HubSpot- they're just awesome!
- Customer service support is phenomenal. They won't quit until it's fixed. They always follow-up with you to ensure that the problem has been taken care of.
- Reporting. The analysis it provides about your content is great. It's simple, easy to read and always available. This way, you can always have access to what's working and what's not.
- Site page optimization. It lets you know about how your page looks in the eyes of Google.
- Needs to be more built out on other social media platforms other than Twitter. They do keep making changes to make it better, though.
- New features they rolled out with cost money. They have a more detailed reporting tool, which is awesome if you need it. If not, you can get away with using the free one by all means.
- Sometimes they roll out new updates quickly and there are some kinks they didn't work out.
A Big Commitment You Won't Regret
- Great methodology for conceiving ways to develop business in a consumer-driven internet world.
- The tools support the concepts and are very well integrated, eliminating virtually any duplication or data redundancy for things related to marketing, prospect and customer targeting and interaction.
- The support and training provided are top-notch!
- The learning curve is substantial. While the training is excellent, it is a big investment.
- Creating lists from existing contact searches should be easier and more intuitive.
- The switching between CRM and marketing is a little cumbersome for small organizations where a few people want to use both sets of features. It would be nice if there were a way to access both sets of features without switching the entire context screens.
HubSpot Makes Me Happy!! #GoOrange!
- CRM is included
- Always looking for ways to improve and has discussion boards that allows users to request a new feature
- SEO/Keyword Research
- Blogging is awesome on HubSpot and works well with social channels
- Continuing education
- Reporting could be improved
- Day to day bugs that go on with images, pages, etc
- Helpful resources. Hubspot has a wealth of training materials, documentation and excellent support. I was thrown into managing the digital marketing efforts and Hubspot really had great tools for me to quickly get up to speed on how to best organize, tackle, and measure the results of that work.
- All-in-one platform is integrated well. I can jump into creating a follow up email while I'm creating a landing page so that the process can be more creative and stream of consciousness flow.
- The salesforce integration is great. I can choose what I sync over and the hubspot insights that show up in salesforce are helpful to the sales guys.
- Forms are really advanced and customizable. There are smart questions that you can use for progressive profiling.
- Uptime - this hasn't resulted in any major problems for our business, but definitely some frustration internally if we lost work on a page or blog. And recently there was a big down time which resulted in a lot of delays in reporting which I needed for a board meeting. They were able to resolve the issue before, but it caused a 3 day delay in my report.
- Reporting is a little confusing
- Organization, for example the list of contacts, if I organize them into folders, they still all show up in the list
Great Software for Inbound Marketing
- Landing pages. Building in the COS continues to get better and better. Once you have established themes, building landing pages becomes a breeze. Then you can add in the ability to use "smart content" to tailor the page to your specific users to provide the best experience and content possible.
- Tracking and Analytics are amazing. It is easy to review the performance of your landing pages and calls to action as well as see what sources are most effective.
- Custom building workflows to generate automated actions is easy and powerful. Workflows have allowed us to designate specific series of emails to automatically send to specific users at various lifecycle stages. This also allows us to create automation to help organize our contacts and perform specific actions to help move them through the funnel.
- The reports add-on for hubspot is great. It, however, does focus specifically on just the contacts and their properties and actions. It would be nice to see the analytics for forms, pages CTA's etc rolled into this as well to truly give you the ability to gather all of your data into one dashboard for the quickest possible reference.
- Building new themes for your landing pages or website pages can be very tricky until you get a full understanding for the system and how to use "groups". This is where seeing some in-depth examples and guides could be a big help. They do have a great community and support that are ready to help.
Hubspot? More like On-spot!
- Hubspot's customer support is fantastic. They're prompt, knowledgeable, and consistently courteous.
- Hubspot's program is very intuitive; it doesn't take a lot to get up and going. Easy to teach yourself, but the Academy has been an invaluable source, as well.
- I like how much customization Hubspot allows you to do with its apps. I can customize almost anything in an email, a landing page, or even how I want my reports to look. I think Hubspot is great at fostering ownership of your product.
- I wish I could choose my own font size instead of the given default sizes. Sometimes a jump from 18 to 24 font is too much than what I wanted.
- I wish finding particular colors for fonts were easier, as well. It's really difficult to point and click on any color on the swab and get what you were looking for. If there were a scale or a better method of choosing colors, I think it would be easier.
- Is there an Academy article that lists and describes the functions of the support teams that Hubspot has? I ask because when I inquired about a particular format for our blog template, I discovered that instead of asking our site manager(s), there was actually a team called Design Triage that I needed to be talking to instead. I don't want to waste customer support's time if I knew there was a more efficient way of finding who I need.
My Marketing Happy Place
- Integrating what is posted on our blog with social sharing.
- Integrating activity with Salesforce.
- Making updates and additions to our website.
- I've had some glitches using the updated editors and have had to go back to the former version to do what I needed to do.
HubSpot provides Marketing Automation like a champ
- Marketing Automation - quick, easy-to-use, effortless automation, using visual workflow tools plus trackable goals.
- Content Management - Easily build responsive blogs and microsites and tie them into your lead generation utilizing forms and landing pages.
- Social Monitoring - Track your contacts on social and respond to mentions of your promotions or your company.
- Reporting - I do wish there was a little more enhancement to the reporting functionality. They recently upgraded reporting, but it's a paid add-on feature. I should be able to automate reports about my email marketing without having to download massive XLS files and sort myself or pay for additional services.
Great Tool for Busy Marketers
In my new role, HubSpot is also a big part of what I do. Not only do I used it for workflows, email, landing pages, CTAs, forms, and reporting, I also train other marketing users, and our sales team uses the CRM.
Everything is very easy to use; I would recommend it to any marketer that needs to get a lot done in a little amount of time.
- Workflows: these are extremely easy to use and have become even easier in the recent months with the ability to create a list right in the workflow
- Wordpress plugin: the wordpress plugin makes the HubSpot setup easier than it already is
- Landing pages: the landing pages are so easy to make, and there are a bunch of templates to chose from. There is the ability to clone landing pages, too, so if you make one you like and you want to use it again, it's very simple.
- I'd like to see other ways to customize the contacts. I'd like to have the ability to change the way the data is shown so it can better reflect how my company uses data
Amazing tool for businesses willing to invest time and budget in their marketing efforts.`
Our agency uses HubSpot internally, and we use the platform to execute on all the strategies we put together for clients on a monthly basis as well.
We love that it ties all our efforts together into a single platform, allowing us to see everything we're doing for clients — and how effective it is — on a single dashboard and analytics report. It's really helped our clients wrap their heads around the inbound marketing framework, too.
- Campaigns: HubSpot's Campaigns tool has really improved in the past year or so. It's a great tool to help pool all the marketing resources from a coordinated effort into a single dashboard to see their effectiveness.
- Email: The email marketing tool is fabulous! HubSpot has added a lot of additional features recently that allow very granular personalization that increases open, click-through and overall engagement rates.
- Technical support: Second to none. The online Knowledge Base articles are great (as well as the HubSpot Academy training modules), but the telephone support is really where it's at. I've never encountered an issue that tech support hasn't been able to help me solve within a half hour. And they're the friendliest folks I've ever talked to.
- Reporting: Analytics leave a bit to be desired. The Marketing platform analytics are great, and the CRM (Sales) analytics are pretty robust as well, but linking the two still needs work. The paid reporting add-on is a step in the right direction, but these types of analytics should be free for all users — our success as marketers depends on access to data and the simple visualizations that the add-on provides.
Freedom, Flexibility, and Ease-of-Use!
- Managing contacts and following a customer through their social activity as well as their activity on your website is pretty "creepy cool" as we call it.
- Designing and sending email is really simple.
- Hubspot Academy (as well as their live technical support) is amazing. It makes it so easy to learn any feature of the product.
- I'd like to see more flexibility with the email and page templates. Once I am in the middle of designing, it seems difficult to change the layout. (But to be fair, I'm new to the software. It could be a learning curve issue.
Bye Bye Pardot, Hello HubSpot!
We LOVE HubSpot. We used to use Pardot, but we were frustrated by the limitations in email design, among other things. With HubSpot, we can design our own professional-looking emails and templates with their easy-to-use template builder. We can also create our own landing pages, which saves us time and money because we don't have to send it to our developers to code. And probably the most helpful feature is the extensive Analytics section, which allows us to track where new leads and customers are coming from.
- Template Design - Simple to use and allows us to create and edit pages in-house.
- Analytics - We can track everything! We can see what works and what doesn't, and get a better idea of our client base.
- Social Inbox - Allows us to post to multiple social media platforms in one place, as well as track retweets, responses, and more
- File organization - We are working through this, but when we first started we had issues understanding the file organization of the templates or how to access certain modules (such as locked global groups)
Best Software for Managing Marketing Campaigns at the 50,000 ft view
- The analytic reports do a great job of showing exact client ROI. We have an extremely low churn rate as Hubspot easily proves its value.
- It's a huge time saver for us since we automate many tasks within each marketing campaign.
- Hubspot does extremely well in managing highly complex marketing campaigns.
- It's extremely easy to design a website with HubSpot's COS. However, there are a few features I would like to be available without requiring coding. I would rate HubSpot as perfect if you could easily add an overlay or similar lead-capture functions.
- Some features are add-on products when they should be included. One example is the reports dashboard. It would be nice to have but not enough that we're willing to pay extra for it.
HubSpot is the best thing since sliced bread
- Their customers service is A++. The representatives truly care about the success of their clients.
- Designing landing pages is really easy and intuitive.
- The academy is a great resources to learn best practices - and the diversity of content (blogs, ebooks, videos) makes it great for every member of my team.
- Their platform crashed right before Cyber Monday and made it nearly impossible to implement our Cyber Monday campaign which was terrible timing for end of month results.
Glad We Have HubSpot, Better than Other Email Marketing Tools
- Drip campaigns
- Landing pages
- Resource library hosting
- Lead tracking
- Inbound marketing
- Lead targeting content
In short, we use HubSpot to build a home for our content, target it to the correct audience, and track our success. We primarily aim for solidly targeted content to the right audience, so we can better position our SaaS product and services, generate leads, and retain sound relationships.
- HubSpot offers great SEO. When I'm writing blogs, it tells me how my titles, metadata, content, and links fare, and where I need to improve. If I don't have internal links in a post, for instance, HubSpot even suggests some.
- HubSpot lets us easily clone landing pages. So if we need multiple landing pages for an ebook, for instance, we can clone the content and tweak it to a particular need, audience, or distribution channel.
- HubSpot offers us simplified social-media posting. I can schedule as many posts as I want for a particular blog on all of our social media channels. They make it easy to repurpose content, test tweet language, and vary our posting schedule strategically.
- HubSpot has a lag time connecting to our LinkedIn account. When I post on Twitter, the "post now" function posts it immediately. The LinkedIn usually has a lag time and sometimes doesn't post at all.
- HubSpot blogging has its own built in CTA functionality. It doesn't recognize when I add a verbal (non-button) CTA at the end of a blog post, so it dings me on my blog's SEO value by not recognizing the CTA.
- This isn't a limitation, but I would love to incorporate "Related Articles" to our blog feature, to keep people reading after one blog post with a selection of relevant content.
A robust and ginormously capable tool to become a marketing genius
- HubSpot makes it easy to schedule and publish multiple posts to social media
- It allows you to easily create templates for content for email marketing, landing pages, site pages, blogs and more.
- HubSpot has SO much content to help with all facets of marketing - it's a super helpful community to be a part of.
- When they rolled out their new editors in the tool, I don't think they did a great job of letting everyone know and how best to use the new tools. They were different and took getting used to for sure.
Definitely Recommend HubSpot
- It allows you to attribute campaigns to all of the content you distribute in one place.
- It provides suggestions on how to improve your content, such as SEO, character count, etc.
- If you add the SideKick plugin, you can see who opens your emails, and what they click on.
- The possibilities are endless, whether you want to set up a drip campaign, set up lead magnets, smart forms... the list goes on and on.
- When I edit a newsletter and make changes to text, the toolbar goes back to the top of the email and I have to scroll up on the page.
- If I want to edit or move a text or image box on a landing page, I can't drag and drop, I have to delete and re-create it.
- If I add a second photo from the same folder to, let's say, a blog, I have to go in and scroll through all of my folders and select one photo at a time, rather than being able to select more than 1 at once or being brought to my last visited folder.
HubSpot Changes Everything
- Social Media: Scheduling and posting is simple now with HubSpot. I can publish a blog post to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn three times in one month with just a single click. It picks the best times to post my posts based on traffic and lets me see where I am getting the most activity.
- Tracking: Instead of using 1 service to shorten my URL links and then digging through Google Analytics to track it, I can now do both with HubSpot.
- Reports: The reporting tab allows me to just have one place to see where all of my customers are coming from at every step through the funnel.
- I wish it was easier to navigate the Sales platform and push things through the funnel quicker and easier.
